hi

i have some request about bluetooth:
- add to the menu bluetooth the "connected" feather when we have to choose the device! to gain time to connecte our precious with an other device and convinience reasons.
- rmove the bubble "terminale name" in bluetooth menu, this feather can be done from the setup menu.

can the browser icons (cancel loading,bookmarks) be rearranged so that you can use them in portrait?

what about ukeyboard? cant the developer or someone make it usable?
isnt it possible to implent the opera mobile virtual keyboard in the maemo os?

and are the photo application and media player, working in portrait mode or will work in next release?

opera keyboard - no, this has been discussed, it's coded into the software in way that would make it hard/impossible to remove from the browser.

media player - install the open media player, it's a media player clone and supports portrait. the stock media player will not support portrait, it's closed source so the only option is to only use stock in landscape or use open media player.

No, I don't think this package is what you need.
Explanation. I installed portrait hildon-desktop (which is based on modified-hildon-desktop) but afterwards I couldn't install keyboard-shortcuts (of course) because it depends on modified-hildon-desktop so I modified the package to not have dependency on mhd but it still doesn't work, and I posted it on the portrait hildon desktop thread for testing. Please do not use it if you don't understand exactly what you are doing, because there is no dependency, so it will install even if it is unsupported (stock N900).

Anyway, grasping the opportunity I reiterate here my request to test keyboard-shortcuts with the latest cssu.

I think that a bit of comunnication from the devs would help. Have a look when was the last update and you will understand why people ask about it. CSSU is our only hope for N900 so people want to know how things are going.

I folow the activity on gitorious every day and read IRC logs also. I mean some news about the problems, ideas not the date of the release. Just the progres.I can see that some work is done but few last days on gitorious and IRC logs don't bring much hope. Either the development comes to an end or there are certain problems. Either way it would be good to know how things are.

i know the next update is going to have the vertical scrolling portrait hildon-desktop, i think the scrolling should be like in the apps menu, and maybe a right and left swype triggers the apps menu/multitasking view ....

YES PLEASE. this is like the worst problem in n900. contact name dissapearing in conversations, msg not sending to a specific contact. this is the most basic feature that every phone has working perfectly but n900. please fix this issue. a lot of people are pissed over the conversation bugs and message sending. this should be the primary aim so that people donot have to delete conversations and its database again and again when the problem occurs.

I have an issue with performance when Availability is online and there are open conversations causes the phone to lag to at time an almost unusable state - unable to accept incoming calls and pushes CPU usage to 100%

i am in no hurry to get cssu cuz i know it is coming soon ,i suppose it will be presented when it is ready .we want the best of all cssu so MAG and others ,take your time and great many thanks to your work .Between it will be fking great if you guys could implement a little part of N9 Ui through Qt quick .:eek:

I can't install it.. it always ask me to plug it on a computer with pc suite.. i did reinstall some apps already to free up space.. what else should i do?

I did. I uninstall lots of apps already and got 137mb rootfs space. Still, I won't let me install it without connecting it with pc suite.

is it possible to have a "stable" release that for now only includes bug fixes rather than extra features until the "testing" branch is stablised. as it currently stands, many fixes for issues in the devices software are only available in the cssu.

take the recent kp48 issue with save as. there was a bug in part of the vfs back end, which freemangordan spotted and fixed it in the next cssu release. i imagine it is a small fix which may affect several applications. to get the fix i don't want to install in-development software which may introduce further problems. the same could be said for hildon-desktop/home. you've got fixes for high cpu usage for example but to get them you need need to install the experimental portrait support.

on a side note, has anyone else noticed the battery drain if you turn the charger off and leave it attached? sounds stupid but just flicked the switch on the socket before going to sleep after several hours on charge and woke to a low battery warning.
