finally got mine updated to v 16.. i had trouble with one packag, but i managed to fetched t with x-term... everything works fine as of now.. thanks to cssu team... hoe to see more updates coming.. :) thanks again.. :) im a one happy maemo5 user .. :) n900 the best phone ever.. :)

when i try to install the latest update using im getting the following error,

As many of them are related to phone, I don't know what to do!
so What do I do? can I upgrade them without messing my phone??

those were an upgrade flies for CSSU 16.5....i believe your are still on 16 so there no problem upgrading those files...

I am here to report a couple of items that have occurred since the last update. I've been running PR 1.3.3.7-9, then on Tuesday (2011-09-06), the latest (PR 1.3.3.7-10) came out, and I installed it. If I make a call, I cannot hear the ring or the person on the other end. If I receive a call, I hear about the first 1/4 second or so of my ringtone, then nothing. And I can't hear anything through the earpiece unless I physically turn the headset off (switching the headset off in the phone dialog does not work).

Has anyone seen this or have a fix for it?

I have the same ERROR with CSSU Features and also there is something wrong with media player - it's reloading again and again and don't show my videos and music files.

It all started yesterday after I saw that my main screen reloaded all widgets and information, just like it does when I restart my phone.

After that phone slowed down. Everything is taking more time to open and so on.

I guess it's sort of bug or I don't know.

I don't want to reflash my N900, because I did it about month ago. The process is quite painful for me - backup all files, and then reinstall everything... Any solutions?

got one killall hildon-home (or is it hildon-desktop) like effect meaning black thing at top at first then total black while running opera and email (modest). Thought it would reboot or shut down but nothing happened, everything came back after few seconds.

Hi guys,
I tried the blurless_saturation option (set to 1) in the newest CSSU features configuration application, but now hildon-desktop keeps crashing, and my n900 reboots constantly :p (jeej my-first-reboot-loop)
So I believe my transitions.ini is messed up, is there any way to get to that without reflashing my device? Thanks! :)

you did the same as what i did :( cept i freaked and did a restore with backupmenu which brought up a shed load of errors whilst restoring but gave me back a working device, fine as long as you have backupmenu already installed.

My CSSU upgrade went fine. Only problem occurs is that i had bigger desktop icons and now they reverted back to orginal size. Is there any solution to change their size again?

Woot! Fixed it!
Booted my phone into R&D mode, look here for info
And than before hildon-desktop crashed quickly pressed [ctrl]+[shift]+[X] and replaced my corrupted transition.ini with a (working) older backup.

Still, it works fine now, but how can it be that is went into rebooting after editing the transitions.ini trough the CSSU features config?

Thats because the transitions.ini file misses a line. It is explained somewhere in this tread. You must add a line blurless_saturation = 0 to it, inder the blurless = line.
But be carefull, just fixed a rebootloop caused by messing with that file...

Bizarre, since 16.5 I'm getting lots of random reboots when the phone is idling. And I only saw one other person getting random reboot after upgrade to 16.5.

Together with the 16.5 upgrade I only upgraded the CSSU Features application and the Fahrplan application. Is there a way to go back to CSSU v.16 ? That one was rock stable for me (for the short period it was there of course).

I managed to fix CSSU Feature. But still Media player problem appears: Video section keep searching for videos and also music playlist section keep reloading.

-EDIT-

Solved problem with Media player. Connected with PC and added several files to phone memory. After that restarted my N900.

Result: Everything went back to normal.

Probably some-kind of glitch.

can anyone confirm these broken symlink in they device root????
i just notice this broken symlink in my root after upgrading to 16.5....
now i'm having problem deleting it....unable to delete it using filebox,midnight commands & x-term.....
what are these broken symlink & how to delete it????

wow, so many ppl are having problems with new update... myself have had zero problems on my TWO devices. (Granted I did backup the main one after the update and restored it onto my test device)... But I have so many tweaks and MODs on them!!!! Guess Im just lucky.

I am also having reboots every now and then, not constant though. I had "FATAL error" when launching CSSU yesterday. Solved that by editing default-located transitions.ini by setting all recommended ones to zero. Then made some setting changes with CSSU and realized that my beloved N900 is really booting. It also claimed about kernel not loading all settings. Also I have Nokia kernel option on application list. That I tried also, but it does nothing visible.

That is my case so far. I really hope that flashing is not needed.

one request from cssu.. can u people work on a complete music player with share plugin(fb,bluetooth transfer etc) album display as that of a flow player..?? it will be good if v have a player like that.t would be easier to share music.

CSSU features has more/diffent options then CSSU tuner.
New in latest update of CSSU features are "desktop scroll" => vertical or horizontal and "blurless Saturation" => full color or none

These functions are (not yet) implented in CSSU tuner.
I have both installed, and after adding blurless_saturation=0 line in all the transitions.ini files (themes and cssu-features) it works fine.

As transitions.ini looks so important to CSSU that may make the phone enter in reboot loop, shouldn't it have some kind of exception, as in, "if I can't find/understand/read transitions.ini, I'll load defaults and warn the user"?

After expecting some glitches and restarting my phone several times everything works like a charm. Still don't get it - how to change background for portrait mode desktop.

Nope! I was wrong. Still something is not quite right.

Is there any way to clear phone cache or something like that?
I'm still having problem with Media player Video section.

Another problem: When I take a screenshot I see about 6 pictures in Photos. When I delete one of them rest of them still remain. Those "ghost" pictures are gone only when I open Photos again.

I guess I will reflash my N900. Expecting too many glitches and other S**T.

Oh how I hate to do that!
