Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
after I installed the cssu and the mcsp I notice a huge battery drain again...
what could that be? |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
i also feel that battery drains faster... but maybe because i'm using it so much more now...
my reboot button 'occassionally' does not work too... but even before cssu. |

At this point, the only issues i have experienced in the cssu, is shortcut keys not working and the email attachment issue. And both issues where fixed before i even had time to think. :) |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
Glad to say the Community SSU workd fine for me. I do like the integrated tweaks to Hildon-Desktop, enjoying running a fast device without the need to overclock.. great job!
If at some point in the future hildon-desktop gets a portrait mode patch it would be welcome, but otherwise the N900 is the perfect device for me! |

Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
The CSSU installed just fine on my over-clocked N900.
Only bad thing is that the I get refresh and performance issues with closing and switching applications  Great job anyway - keep on coming please... Cheers, HugoSon |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
Is maemo10 still the latest update?
|
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
yet another problem with sending email to multiple adresses.
Buttons keep being copied is this normal: http://www.sygysweb.nl/download/n900/email.png I think im gonna reflash mine back to the normal PR1.3 and let you people mess up your systems.. obviously there are people building these community updates that have absolutely no clue of what they are doing. |

Rather nasty looking bug. |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
Got it too, confirm bug, although it only purely aesthetic, the button still acts as a single unit rather than multiple instances.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/b.../ModestBug.png Would file a bug at Bugzilla but for some reason it's not recognising my log-in, tried creating new account but that's not authorised either as the email already exists..... Strange.... |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
Same here, doesnt bother me, Email still works

If they truly did not know what they were doing your device would not boot with the CSSU. I suppose Nokia, Google, Motorola, Samsung all do not know what they are doing either as I've experienced bugs with all of those firmware providers as well. |

Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
I think i find a bug.
After installing CSSU my camera application starting to write photos do memory card. I dont know whean it happens. I was restarting the camera application, rebooting the phone and it was fine. Then after some time when I'm making photo is written on SD card despite i set it to write on emmc. I have to manualy change it again to make it work for some time. I'm sure that it was fine on stock pr1.3 Can anyone confirm it? |

Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
I added the repo to HAM,
did an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade, installed everything. But now I don't see any icon in the menu to install the fw? anyone else had the same issue? I cant find it either in HAM to remove and reinstall it (neither on FAPMAN) Any solution for this problem? Edit: I have Catorise for my menu Edit 2: Hmm that's weird... I tried everything, but nothing worked. So I decided to remove Catorise... and then suddenly the CSSU pack appaired on Faster app man.... installed, works great over here! Thank you all!!! :) keep up the good work! |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU

Anyway, the Community SSU Enabler package handles those steps; but it can't all be done in one go. Since you installed the repo and then used apt-get, you neither installed the enabler (hence didn't get the icon in your apps menu) nor installed the key and HAM configuration which makes HAM consider the upgrades to the OS. Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
Just a heads up, with the transitions.ini shipped with the 'matrix' theme, there are all sorts of oddness, like the screen is lagging on updates, or doesn't redraw at all.
Renaming the transitions.ini in the themes folder restores the sanity. Loving the community SSU idea, no other issues so far. |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
Got an update today via OWA; the device did hang during the update - had to reboot. Things seem to run normally - but within the About box I can't see a maemo11 (as I did with maemo10)?
Any one else? |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
