[Maemo 5] Conflict with Application Packages: Khweeteur & Cutetube

I am trying to download the applications cutetube and khweeteur. I am getting the problem:
"unable to install cutetube"
"conflict with application packages: python2.5 -qt4 - gui (4.7.3-maemo5) and python2.5-qt4-maemo5 (4.7.3-maemo5)

For khweeteur I get
"unable to install khweeteur"
"Conflict with application packages: python2.5-qt4-gui (4.7.3-maemo5)

what does it say if you do as root the following?
Code:

apt-get -s install python2.5-qt4-gui python2.5-qt4-maemo5
nb: it won't actually install anything (-s for simulation)

Try

Code:

apt-get update
apt-get install python2.5-qt4

You should then be able to install both applications. :)

@Marxian & Saturn. Where exactly do I type in the code? I'm not a connoisseur of maemo.
@Michaa62 I think wutever repositories that come enabled with the phone. I don't tamper with that stuff

Thanks guys.

The package maintainers of both packages need to alter their debian/control files.

Well no problems here to install khweeteur (apart from the fact i don't see any value in twitter at all  :D)
Please provide the output of
Code:

apt-cache showpkg khweeteur
and
Code:

apt-cache policy python2.5-qt4-gui

Re: [Maemo 5] Conflict with Application Packages: Khweeteur & Cutetube

This is probably due to the fact that you install an app that use experimentall qt packages

Thanks.

You need to have rootsh installed first. Then type "sudo gainroot" to the terminal before typing those commands.
