i created the sstates folder as sugested and set permissions and now save states work yay im not getting any screen shot but all slots apear to work so woohoo thank you

Hi, first I want to thank you for these developments.
Now, I didn't really used this a lot, I've just got one img: Spyro the Dragon 3. I liked this game when I was young :P
It used to work extremely well with PCSX-ReArmed (and slow with psx4m and it didn't with psx4m-gles), but I didn't notice when (since which version) it stopped working.
It loads the "trainer/crack" program for cheats, and shows sony, universal and Insomniac screens but then it simply closes the window, when it should display the actual intro. I have tried every combination of settings from GUI and the result is always the same. When launched from terminal (psx4m-gui) it doesn't even provide any (useful) info neither reports the crash. When loaded directly it throws this:
(ie, here at least reports the Segmentation fault).
I don't have any Idea what could be wrong...
Somebody could help me find what's going on?

bonapart, it seems that i have 3 locations for the .pcsx folder:
/home/user/.pcsx
/.pcsx
/opt/maemo/usr/games/.pcsx

the save states are now saved to /.pcsx/sstates (why is this folder in root?)

next update will have small changes in keyboard(psx4m,pcsx) , maybe gles in pcsx, sstates in psx4m like pcsx(with slot+ and slot- key, screenshot)
i hope it will be next weekend

I found out that unchecking all the advanced options in configure makes the games faster with better graphics. is there a graphics difference between psx4m and pcsx ReArmed ?

AgogData yes, they different ... pcsx should be better than psx4m without hwa gpu

JSTAR Notaz say some changes but still not published latest sources, so we still wait

P.S. i'm in n950 accepted list, so meego will have this emu's too

That would be a positive advantage. Because I remember that I had to O.C my N900 in order to play most of the titles. Now with N9,clocked at 1GHZ at default, I hope that there will be no need to:)

Can anyone recommend me what to install? I've got a little lost after not checking in occasionally. Something that works best with default 600Mhz speed. OpenGL would be welcome. No idea how much the emulators have progressed since beginning of this year...

To be honest, I just want to play a few games when I'm on the go every now and then.

How do these work?
Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2, Crash Bandicoot 3, Crash Team Racing, Gex, Gex 2, Gex 3, Spyro The Dragon, Spyro 2, Spyro 3, Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver.

well psx emulation has improved tremendously in the last few months. Most games I tried run pretty well. You will have to overclock though. Pretty sure most of those will work pretty well with the pcsx rearmed core.

It's pretty fast as long as you overclock.

Hey! It's been a while :)

Recently I've started to play with my n900 once again and decided to install the newest Nitdroid and this all new psx emulator called "FPSe", which all android users talk about. I was really curious, because I remember that name back in a time when my main phone was HTC Blue Angel and I was totally amazed by "FPSeCE"... played FF7 on 10-20 fps back then :D Good times, good times... but back to the main subject. FPSe blow my mind. Not overclocked android on n900 and FF8 full speed :O Just wow.

So I thought: "hey maemo emu couldn't be worse then that by now!". I wasn't wrong!

FF8 testing:
Stock n900 speed - pretty good. Not as good as FPSe, but still sound is much better(sloppy tho) on pcsx-rearmed(and sound in movies - yupi).
800 MHz - full speed. Sound a bit sloppy.
1000 MHz - totally full speed. Sound slow downs a bit, but I'm happy with it.

Argh. Great work Bonapart. Thank you very much for the updates.
Where's the freaking donate button? :D I know it's not much, but I want to donate 5 or 10 euro for all your work.

I agree Magik. This emulator is amazing! Bonapart and Notaz have done such a great job with it. And we'll be getting a new version soon. Bonapart announced he was working on it a few days ago. Can't wait to try it!

I can't seem to find the PCSX-ReArmed on the app manager
and I can't install PSX4m-dbg it says not possible on the app manager and on the Terminal it says:

regarding Fpse for nitdroid

i tried to paste it using maemo

sudo gainroot

cd /
mount /home /and
cd /and

#open new term

sudo gainroot

home/user/MyDocs/fpse10.54.apk
home/user/MyDocs/cp -p fpse10.54.apk /and/system/app

but as i boot to nitdroid and click the icon of fpse it always says force close?

You only need to install psx4m-gui I think. It automatically installs everything you need.

N900-Amazo just paste it in MyDocs.
Umay mounts MyDocs as a sdcard :) Then just install file manager and install the fpse through it.

i have some rest last two weeks(so no progress at emu, sorry)
from good news next build will be featured QML based gui(for future meego port)
meego port will be available within month( i'm really want to see how it will work at n950 ...)
