Yeah i also noticed that you must close all apps and then run mplayer for flawless playback. Btw file rename option would be nice because downloaded flvs are something like QwqtrG23asfasS.flv

Better than nothing but i still want optimized Flash 9 and Opera 9.

Great application. One remark: i live in the Netherlands and the youtubu url gets changed to nl.youtube.com. When i paste that url into uktube it exits without a message. When I change nl into www it works. Maybe something the application can do automaticaly.

You may have been caught out by the same thing I was when installing the 'Media Centre' application to a directory other than 'Extras', namely, that the UKTube programme is placed under the 'Extras' directory regardless! Have a peek at the programmes under this directory and hopefully you'll see it.

Yes, it is exactly what has happened to me ;-) I've noticed it after the 2nd try.
Thx all for your help!

Here it doesn't work. Install works fine, but when i want to run the file, it shows the paste your link screeny. I paste and click show video--> program crashes. I have mplayer installed on my n800 and the python library, i think. Any ideas?

I found out what my problem was. The SD card that the program writes to was nearly full.

I'll try to fix this tomorrow morning along with the installer bug (the forced extras).

Speed problems while playing are probably related to you having flash support active on the browser. It's probably sucking some processor cycles from the mplayer, which results in some jitter in the playback.

A suggestion.. allow us the ability to choose where to download the files to. I don't want them going to a memory card that is full (which was the reason why it didn't work before).

New version is out now:
https://garage.maemo.org/frs/downloa...-uktube0.2.deb

It handles youtube clips better than before (seems to download all clips while the previous version had problems with some of the clips).

Files are now stored with the video title instead of the youtube id. Much easier for the archived files.

nl.youtube.com and others are now converted to use www.youtube.com address.

Video playback is now smoother than before and it uses the default mplayer config (you can seek and stuff now).

Files are now stored in mmc1/Videos or mmc2/Videos.

UI stalls just a little less than before ;) - still, don't press the download button twice!
