Burying the N900 tonight
 

Dropped the N900 in the parking lot today. Didn't look like it did much damage, just a tiny dent on the front bezel that was pushing against the touch screen. It wouldn't take any touch screen inputs though. I could unlock it with the side slider, but no input. Weird.

Took it apart when I got home and swapped out the bezel (had a spare housing at the ready) and checked out the internals. No damage, nothing loose, no water...

Still won't take inputs. Super bummed.

i'm not hardware knowledgeable but couldn't you get a replacement tounch synthesiser or what ever its called

If there is a ribbon cable connecting the screen make sure it is fully inserted, it may have dislodged.

Yeah took it apart and made sure it was clean dry and all the connections were tight. Nothing looked damaged.

It won't take a flash or even boot up now.

I have one of those thingys, I use it to make up for the length of one of my desk's legs. does a fair job :S
