I just remove canola from the application manager and it still in the system apt-get remove does not reported install.

Still unable to remove canola... I dont want to go and hunt it down to each file... Any advice?

I wouldn't know how to begin hunting down each dependent file. Even then I would be a 'scared to remove something another app may depend on...

In those cases I re-flash. Kinda like BITD with Win 3.0 :D

A PITA but something I assumed I would have to do with a developing OS. Particularly one where third party apps are still in beta.

It would be nice if there was a means to save pre and post back-up images to a desktop that could accompany the re-flash. Hell, beta apps would develop quicker that way too I would imagine.

I can't help ya but I would like to know the answer as well.

Yup, Canola is one of those programs that I installed that I cannot uninstall because it doesn't allow it. The uninstall process didn't work for me and no one could help me either.

There is an old thread on this. You have to stop the process then delete something. I forget. I did it once, and nothing got screwed up - I think...

Nope I stop the process and remove it thru apt-get and still in the system even if I delete the icons.

wow... I thought it was a Nokia developed piece of software - not Real Player or Quicktime!!! Sounds like it's reflash time. Perhaps you could wait for the upgrade coming at the end of the week? cough...
