OpenVPN not routing ?
 

HI guys ,

i've setup openvpn server on one of my servers online , added the files to n900 openvpn applet , it says that it is connected ... when i try something like http://www.whatismyip.com/ , it gives me my REAL ip address and not the one of the VPN !!! did i miss something ?

Have you set up your config to tunnel all traffic through your server?
Without that, whatsmyip will show the IP of your phone, not the ip of your server.

I've used this tutorial http://geekyschmidt.com/2010/02/27/o...ll-ubuntu-9-10 . started openvpn server , set up the firewall and everything . phone shows a "connected" and assigned some ip address as shown in the applet log .

now i noticed that after a while , a reconnecting,ping-restart occurs , then resolve , wait ... nothing more ...

I usually follow the instructions here.
Look specifically here for routing everything through OpenVPN.
