This is a wild guess, but you may try if installing ffmpeg resolves the codec issue Code:
sudo gainroot |

Re: One more same help request : "Can't play videos?.."
Which repositories do you have enabled? Did you 'apt-get update' before?
Are you using extras-testing and/or extras-devel? |
Re: One more same help request : "Can't play videos?.."
both of them enabled.
updated now, and seems like it will install ffmpeg. I have done update before last try (may be 2-3 hours ago), so didn't update again just before apt-get install ffmpeg. edit : result is same.. |

Re: One more same help request : "Can't play videos?.."
there is something wrong with my backup, after reinstalling my backup I can't play videos again. Will write here when I find it.
edit: any of you guys know where is settings recorded related with video playing ? |
Re: One more same help request : "Can't play videos?.."
Okay, solved.
To who has problems with video playing, try using stock kernel. I was using 250-900 Mhz, it had problem. Stock kernel was ok. Tried 125-1000 and it worked! Even 125 Mhz is an avoided one, it worked. Something mysterious happens in my N900 it seems. :) Worths trying. :) edit: definately something mysterious happens, can't play vids again. |
