[REQUEST] Google Docs native client
I would like a program that works just like (or very similar to) the Google Docs official webclient, but that runs nativelly instead of being a webpage rendered in the browser.

Re: [REQUEST] Google Docs native client
Another week another "I want" thread from TT.
I want a solid gold willy that shoots lazer beams since we are asking for stuff. Why bother with writing a client when you can access google docs and edit/create etc files perfectly well from within the browser. I do it quite frequently. Or store the docs in Google Docs and then edit them in freoffice and re-upload them. |
Re: [REQUEST] Google Docs native client
microB is too slow and awkward for dealing with document editing in heavy sites like Google Docs
Editing files offline isn't the same thing as doing it online and seeing all the changes other people make live etc |
Re: [REQUEST] Google Docs native client
What about something like this
http://doctormo.org/2010/07/20/google-doc-mount/ I dont find it too slow using the web but then thats me. |

Re: [REQUEST] Google Docs native client
If you want any of the apps you keep on requesting, why not learn how to code?

Re: [REQUEST] Google Docs native client
Pretty sure that K-Office has a plugin for Google Docs. Whether it works, is another issue. Is that native enough for you?

Or at least thats the way most clients I use/used work. |
Re: [REQUEST] Google Docs native client
Perhaps a solution would be a lightweight browser that has everything necessary to access Google Docs (javascript, HTML5 etc) and nothing that is not needed (flash, swirly zoom etc)?
