AT&T just bought T Mobile USA for 36 billion ! what do you think it means to us that use tmo??

AT&T will start charging for use of the internet. There will be no unlimited plans for AT&T users but now that they bought T mobile will they do the same ??

It means prices are going up and freedom is going down.

It means your pleasurable wireless Internet experience is over... I hate AT&T with every fiber of my being. The service is garbage, their customer service is garbage and I am not looking forward to anything good from them. Sprint is not a consideration and Verizon is just as obnoxiously annoying as AT&T. Who wants CDMA?? FML..!!!

For all of the market-speak in the press release, you would think this is great for all parties involved... hardly.
The clear winner in this is AT&T... T-Mobile has, for all intents and purposes, exited the US market - much like a field mouse exits an owl's beak after it's done with it.
Hopefully, like SunCom and OmniPoint before, I'll be able to keep my current non-contract EvenMore Plus pricing... but I'm sure that I'll lose my "Equipment Installment Plan" option and will need to "migrate to a currently marketed rate plan" when I'm deemed to be costing them too much money.

Of course, I can always change carriers...
  1. Simple Mobile : MNVO of T-Mobile... probably not long for this world either.
  2. Cincinnati Bell - Don't live in SW Ohio anymore.
  3. WalMart Family Wireless - Another MNVO of T-Mo. More expensive for data than others.
  4. GCI Wireless - Don't live in Alaska.

Let's see, who else...

Oh... nevermind...

Yeah we're ****ed. I'm not looking forward to this at all. Hell, I ain't paying for tethering, I'll tell you that much.

Good news, our contracts will have to be honored atleast until the two years are up.

And that is the worst part of the deal for N900 owners. :(

I'm glad I don't use SIM cards, nor any cellphone provider. :D
