Re: unable to install bluemaemo it says Conflict with application packages: libeina0, can someone help

maybe a differnet version of of libeina0 is needed. Similar to here: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=946939

Mine is 0.0.2.062+svn41533-maemo1 so try
Code:

apt-get install libeina0=0.0.2.062+svn41533-maemo1
and then try installing bluemaemo again.

Don't say need. You don't need it. You want it. If you needed it, you'd be very creative at getting it, because when humans truly need something, unless they're very screwed, they are rather good at getting it.

Now, onto your problem: What repositories do you have enabled? It's possible that version of libeet1 isn't in the stock extras repository, and you may have to enabled extras testing or extras devel (standard warnings apply) in order to get it.

Or go to the maemo.org/package interface, search for libeet1, and download the .deb of the right version manually. Then put that file on your N900, run "dpkg -i" on it as root, and then try again to install the rest of BlueMaemo.

does this work with Windows 7. It connects but cannot remote control and the connection drops too often.

Re: unable to install bluemaemo it says Conflict with application packages: libeina0, can someone help

1st of all it's saying:
Quote:

Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages
So, to install a package use 'apt-get install xxx' only... (no -f)
And for fixing issues use 'apt-get -f install' (no packages after)

2nd; too much free space:
Quote:

apt-get -f install libeet1 = 1.2.2 + svn41533-maemo1
correct syntax is.
Code:

apt-get install libeet1=1.2.2+svn41533-maemo1
after that try

Code:

apt-get install bluemaemo
If that doesn't work try to get all packages for bluemaemo at once.

Code:

apt-get install bluemaemo efl-core python2.5-efl-core python2.5-ecore python2.5-evas python2.5-edje python2.5-elementary libeet1 libevas0 libevas0-all libecore0 libecore0-all libembryo0 libedje0 libepsilon0 libetk0 libetk0-engine-all libedbus0 python2.5-edbus python-configobj libecore0-con libecore0-evas libecore0-file libecore0-job libecore0-txt libecore0-x libecore0-ipc libecore0-imf libecore0-imf-evas libecore0-input libevas0-engine-software-x11 libevas0-engine-software-x11-16 libetk0-engine-all libetk0-engine-evas-x11 libetk0-engine-evas libetk0-engine-evas-software-x11 libetk0-engine-evas-software-x11-16 libevas0-all libevas0-loaders-all libevas0-savers-all libevas0-engines-all python2.5-efl-core python2.5-epsilon python2.5-etk python2.5-efl-utils python2.5-elementary libelementary0 libevas0-loader-eet  libevas0-engine-software-generic libevas0-engine-buffer libevas0-engine-software-generic libevas0-loader-eet libevas0-loader-jpeg libevas0-loader-png libevas0-saver-eet libevas0-saver-jpeg
