I'm all for having a snipe at the competition, but Maemo has too many shortcomings for us to be smug. How's this for an elegant solution to sorting MicroB bookmarks:

Re: WP 7 Can Do Clipboard! NoDo Released!
<bookmarks>For sorting bookmarks, i've created my own html page, where there are like 5 (right now there are only 2) groups. Pretty simple and works good for me, especially where i have an socials group with images as links... I am still htmling stuff </bookmarks>
P.S. The second one is for maemo stuff, and there are also some repositories(.install files) right on my bookmark page |

Re: WP 7 Can Do Clipboard! NoDo Released!
I tend to hate workarounds for stuff I'd expect for a product that's been released anytime near 2010 - give or take a year.
Getting copy and paste so late in the game is annoying. Getting MMS support so late in the game is also annoying. Shortcomings and snarky comments around one OS platform or the other is typical for these parts; but let's be honest, how many people are going to honestly say that their favorite OS of choice has any real drawbacks... almost none. With that said, I'm glad that WP7 finally got copy and paste. Maybe now people will pay attention to it's real shortcomings instead. |
