Whilst you will not leave it be i will tell you now IF i am or have been hostile it is to people who just want to argue and make bad comments and there is people who just look for brownie points like the post before yours for example who have not got a clue about technical issues whatsoever !.

WHilst i am not a Linux programmer i do have history of hacking as well as design engineering so i would have thought to pick on someone who has the technical ability behind them is a foolish thing to do as they just back off like i have done and give nothing.

Negativeity of any substance brings on bad behaviour and when you have got negativity on tags it gains ground on negativity within the posts left on that thread, whilst on the other hand if you have got perfect behaviour on a thread and someone comes in with a bullying comment, it draws the bullies to that thread and off they jolly well go joining in with sacastic nasty remarks no matter how small they may be.

Bullying is something that is easy to eradicate IF it is dealt with in the right way, this forum on the other hand fails to do this as the moderators themselves join in with negativity which in turn brings negativity.

Take me for example by all means! if someone gives me a hard time i will give it back simple as that.

2 wrongs do not make a right so i in turn am as bad as the bullies by retaliating.

All in all this thread is not my thread but i agree with its presence very much.

I didn't participate in tagging this thread and I almost never bother to tag threads anyway. I think it's a cowardly move to call people names through thread tags.

Btw, I also still think you guys are blowing things WAY out of proportions.

Trolls should just be ignored.

I agree with ysss that the issue is being blown out of proportion. But on the other hand, it really isnt fair to members to be personally ridiculed/bullied anonymously via tags. Its a useless feature and should simply be removed.

Any reason to still keep it?

If you've been to Ancient Greece lately, you will recall that their dramas had a chorus that was basically anonymous and played a certain role in communicating public opinion. So that's a reason for allowing something similar, but I don't care much. Also, some people actually use them as tags, I imagine. In other words, there ARE reasons to have them.

Obviously the readers with high level of acumen should themselves avoid the trolls. Or have the calmness not to get furious after reading them.

@abill_uk, how can you justify yourself and make yourself sound like a victim when you come out with statements like "I've thought about hacking this site to find out who's been tagging on threads." every post you say makes me think: "Oh god, how can he seriously say anything more stupid" .... Then you post something else and I actually start to feel slightly depressed. Your name seems to indicate you're from the UK, as am I, but you really are letting the side down with your seriously poor command of our beloved language. I think you need to think a lot more about what you say, and probably spend more time listening to what others' are saying, rather than posting your normally quite pointless statements.

It seems useful threads have useful tags :)
