/opt/usr/share/qmltube/qml/qmltube/VideoListView.qml
and changed snapMode to ListView.NoSnap but no dice.
Probably it inherits it somewhere else.

The only thing the qml is missing (to me) is clipboard then its perfect! So i'm keeping the old version till then

for a reason my account stuff like favourites and playlists doesnt load. also when i use my 3g connection it shows results from youtube mobile while when i use my wifi it shows results from youtube desktop. how can both use the desktop version since the results it provides are far superior.

The reason the change doesn't take effect is because the highlightRangeMode is set to StrictlyEnforceRange. At the moment. this is required in order to automatically append results when the currentIndex reaches a certain number (total - 15). If you remove the highlightRangeMode, results will not be appended.

BTW, NoSnap is the default snapMode, so there is no need to set it explicitly. :)

0.3.4 should be in extras-devel soon. Search order will now be saved, and all users should be able to see favourites, playlists and subscriptions.

I'm working on a list filter, and I'll hopefully have that ready for tomorrow evening:

loving the look and usability of the new interface. very nice. also, kmplayer works flawlessly with it. thanks marxian.

is it feasible to add plugins for other video sites like metacafe and dailymotion for example?

Somewhat it seems laggy at times and stuttering. The rotation is not smooth comparing to the old Qpython version. Video isn't playing internally and have to use Media Player. Scrolling isn't fluid and fast enough I think. This QML version still needs a few good fixes to make it better than the old one :)

Edit: the updated version seems a tad better. But is there by any chance you can increase the size of the tasks bar at the top? It's a missing trying to press the Home Screen lol. And the download or search button.

In some cases, it may be. The stumbling block is normally in obtaining the video stream (you can thank Adobe Flash for that). With some sites it can be done by scraping the web page, but others will require some kind of packet capturing (like RTMPDump, for example). I'm not willing to go down that route.

Every time you click on "Most Viewed" the app said "No videos" and takes another 10seconds to see the Loading.... and load the page. Can the app not cache the list of video the first time it load the list off the server"?
