I install the new version cutetube-qml, and I run it. But it always break in loading. I reinstall that is the same. What's it happen? How to fix it? That is QT problem??

I have no ieda for this, I just upgraded new version and It broke. It is about power kernel? I have 3 verions power kernel & Nitdroid. I just deploy power46-wl1 in n900 , but I don't runing it. So, I don't know what happen?

So, I go back reinstall old version cutetube-qml 0.5.1.
And that is work. :D
I can't use new version 0.6.5. It is bad for me. :(
If someone like me, pls download qmltube_0.5.1_armel.deb
open xt (as root)
That will reinstall old version.

If you read the previous messages you will note that 0.6.5 was broken. Latest is 0.6.6. It works :)

Some problems there also. I managed to crash the widget by clicking the widget feed buttons a few times without waiting the results to load first.

While testing the widget I found one a bit annoying bug. When you slide the desktop view by sliding you will start the video playback if this is done over the quteTube widget. Other widgets get ignored when you just slide the screen over them but cuteTube always launches the playback.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yes we all had the same problem, a previous version included a lock feature... long press the blue cutetube icon on the widget, this locks the widget to prevent video's launching :)

Hello every body,

I used to use cutetube barely the previous months, but it worked just fine. Then I installed also qmltube, but I never managed to make it work properly with my youtube account (e.g. it logs in but doesn't find any video in my favourites). Today I updated to the latest
cutetube_0.9.11-2, and qmltube_0.6.6, but the former no longer log in (it says: "you are now logged in" but when I press the "My Channel" button it says: "you are not signed into YouTube") and the latter still has the same problems.

I also have tried to delete .config/cutetube but doesn't help. Any Idea??

0.6.6 seems to have some problems with the xtube integration. I've already removed/reinstalled both and deleted the .config/cutetube directory but no luck.

when doing a XH search, the correct result list is shown in the light theme. When clicking on a entry to get details/option of how to download, it brings a dark theme window, no text and menu button is unresponsive. The 'back' button brings you straight to the main screen, skipping the result list.

Normal, non-xtube related searches behave as expected and can be downloaded as before.

I did have the light theme active before all trouble with 0.6.5 started.

Also, both xtube and 'normal' plays do't respect the player preference anymore. They both start the stock player by default.

Selecting and downloading 'normal' ones works fine. xtube ones have the empty dark 'detail' screen when clicked.

Am I the only one? If not, can you look into it ?

I am no longer maintaining Xtube. I don't have the time. The media player issue is fixed in 0.6.7, which should be in extras-devel soon. Changelog:

* Now loads all subscriptions and playlists.
* Media player choice is now respected on video playback.
* Download list is now accessed/dismissed by 'flicking' the notification bar.

I have also added a download indicator that flashes during downloads. This is just an early and crude version of what I intend to implement.

Not sure if it's been suggested/requested before, (I had a quick look through the thread).

Would an "offline" mode be possible for viewing videos that have been downloaded in cuteTube QML? Bit of a pain with the network connection popping up when you want to view/show a video. :)

I don't think it's normal but here is another problem. I have updated Maemo to latest CSSU version and now when I open QML there is no download icon it's disappeared.

Odd..This never happens to me. I'm able to watch downloaded videos with no problem at all offline.

I download to /home/user/.videos and use the stock media Player.

Is there another app you are running or something in phone settings that is asking you to re-connect perhaps?

The download icon is still where it was. It doesn't appear until you select a video and arrive at the video info screen

Just updated to 0.6.7 and the connection request doesn't pop up on launching the app now, but it still appears when I go to "Archive" and attempt to scroll the list of downloaded videos.

I'm downloading to the default folder /home/user/MyDocs/.cutetube and it happens on all 3 mediaplayers; Mplayer, KMPlayer and default Mediaplayer.

Don't think so. Can't think of anything that should want to connect at the same time as using the "Archive" list.
I have noticed that there's no thumbnails of the videos when I do got to "Archives" and these don't appear until there's an active connection.

no need to tap on any icons, its a simple swipe down and thats the downloads page. when cutetube-qml loads, just swipe the top bar down and thats the downloads page. when u put a video on download queue, thats when download icon appears

I still have some borked searches. For example, "I'm on a boat" doesn't bring up the Lonely Island video. "Darkest of places" also doesn't return correct results.

why is it that when i download anything, the download speed starts off at 1.2mb/s on wifi and then eventually slows down to 110kb/s (or even slower if its a long vid)?? is there any way to change the setting so that the download speed stays as high as possible, or set a certain speed which to download with?

110kb/s is quite a normal download speed from Youtube, whether it's with Cutetube or Firefox on a Desktop PC.

I get the same problem?? Mine all start at over 3.1mbps and slows down to 100 or so kbps. If i pause the download n start again it speeds up but then slows down. Big video's take yonks to download because of this?

One more thing Marxian if ya reading this... is there a way to forward through video's in moblie mode like you can in high quality via stock player? If i tap to fast forward in mobile playback it just starts the video from the begining? Thanks
