[Announce] QtWeather - Weather application just promoted to extras
QtWeather is a weather application for our US users. I originally developed it as part of a school project, but now I'm looking for some more user experience to keep on improving it! I actually do use it on a day to day basis for the weather graphs that are available, thanks to the National Weather Service in the United States, and I look forward to hearing suggestions on how to make the application more relevant to as many users daily lives as possible.
The first thing on my todo list for the application is adding a daemon that prefetches the xml files each day at 4 am (when the server updates them) so that you can just open up the app and not worry about having to download anything for your saved zipcodes. http://static.maemo.org/static/a/a30...405-232831.png. http://static.maemo.org/static/b/b14...405-232916.png. http://static.maemo.org/static/c/ce8...405-232942.png Here is the Extras page as well, feel free to comment :) http://maemo.org/downloads/product/Maemo5/qtweather/ |

It works well for me!
Do you have a network connection established? How did I miss this one? The hourly graphs from NWS were why I have a link to the website on the desktop instead of using a widget. There are two versions available: http://maemo.org/downloads/product/Maemo5/qtweather/ http://newstyle.maemo.org/downloads/...qtweather-qml/ Is QTWeather+ now the version being developed? |

QtWeather+ is just a rewrite using QML, the difference is in the interface. I still support each one fully so you can choose whichever you prefer. QtWeather+ doesn't have portrait support (yet) so that may be a factor. They're both stable though. lol I didn't expect these comments actually, I just happened to check the thread. I'm guessing it's because new versions are being pushed to extras. Quote:
If it turns out to be a bug, feel free to report it at http://code.google.com/p/qtweather/issues/list. I try to stay on top of things so I'll get to it asap. |

For example, http://www.timeanddate.com/weather/s...ubljana/hourly Or http://www.wunderground.com/, but I don't know about graphs there... Thanks again. |
