Hey everyone,

Unfortunately my N900 has succumb to the USB port issue. Since I'm South Africa - Nokia tells me I'll have to ship it to the USA to get it repaired. Considering I don't have the fine soldering skills needed to repair it myself (and that the pads on the board seem gone) and shipping will probably be ~$150, looks like I'm stuck using an N8 for now.

No more dev until further notice :'(

This solution sucks a bit but you could buy a cheap second hand Nokia 5228 and use it to charge your N900 battery, and you'll have 2 :)

Very sorry to hear this. You can try @fmo's suggestion, or maybe find a stand-alone charger for the battery.

I suppose that for data exchange there is no problem, as you can always use ssh..
