FMMS - Viewing files from n900 to PC
 

does anyone know how to view save and delete files from FMMS in your computer.. i have WAY too many pictures messages that i want do delete but i have to do it one by one. and save some. ive tried installing and uninstalling the app but nothing works. thank you!

I believe it's somewhere in /home/user/.fmms
try ssh'ing from your PC, find files you want to delete and run sqlite3 mms.db to delete the message from mms database
I think it'll work

Do you have rootsh installed? If so, it would be a lot easier to teach you how to just get there with xterminal than to explain SSH. If not, install rootsh anyway, it's extremely useful to have just in case.

ALSO: If you have Filebox, you should be able to get to that folder yourself if you just enable showing all the hidden folders.

could just plug your usb cable in, click mass storage, open your n9pp folder when prompted and all pictures recieved through fmms will be there, so just highlight them and delete them that way

if you want to delete it directly from n900, no ssh needed. just use xterm to navigate there

are you sure about this? since mass storage only mount MyDocs, not the entire /home/user directory

i want to delete them from my pc.... i have rootsh installed i tried doing the usb but it doesnt work... does anyone else have more ideas... i appreciate all ur help guys

i guess what i really need to know how to do is how to show the hidden files from the n900 on the desktop... i tried using filebox but my phone freezes cause i have toooooo many pictures on fmms

FileBox - Settings (Gear icon) - Show thumbnails for images - unchecked

well i guess , i'm not sure if there is any other way to do this.
as you said you have installed rootsh and i hope you do remember the password too.
now install http://winscp.net/eng/download.php winscp on your computer .
after installation open the app and it will ask you for the i.p address of your n900.
you can get it from this command using xterminal.

sudo gainroot
ifconfig

search for the WLAN address it should be like 192.168.1.2
your last digit will be different i guess.

and in user name type root and the password is the same which you have written at the installation process of rootsh

o yeah one more thing , you need to keep you n900's WLAN on to connect your n900 to pc ;)
