Same here. This is the single application I use all the time and it's always open.

I am going to throw this request out there.

I think it would be really useful to have a setting in OMP to lock/unlock the screen on headset insert/eject. With an option to obviously disable it but also invert the lock/unlock.

Theory behind the invert option is, car users (myself) will find it useful to unlock on insert. However our walking friends will need to lock it to put it in there pocket ;)

This is possible and maybe also easy to implement. headset jack insert/eject event comes from hal (via dbus) and lock/unlock screen is handled by mce via dbus too.

Is there any public todo feature file or wiki? If yes put it there to not lost your request.

@gidzzz: In gitorious repo is missing debian packaging. Where it is?

I see that lot of people are happy to see OMP in cssu-devel. Is there any problem for replacing nokia media player by OMP in cssu-*devel* (now I mean only !devel!).

Debian directory is needed for creating DSC & DEB packages for pushing it to cssu-devel.

I would be interested in hearing the reason why need to replace the original media player right now? To increase the amount and speed of bugfixing?

For me it is: new features (with fixed some bugs) and also posibility to fix existing bugs. Also it is free open source SW and we have maintainers for it.

its not being replaced for everyone just CSSU-Devel. since CSSU-Devel is only for testers/developers i don't see any harm in it. And also OMP much better than stock Media Player.
