Is there any decent Image Editor for N900?

as the title said, is there any image editor for N900 (not gimp please, the UI is somewhat uncomfortable to bear with using small screen)

I need this mostly for resizing pictures, cropping, tweak the brightness, color, saturation, converting to other file types, and other simple tasks
the built in image editor has only limited feature for this functions. while imagemagick is console only

btw any news on meego image editor? (http://maemo.gitorious.org/meego-image-editor/)
if it can be compiled and run in N900, that would be nice

thanks a lot

GIMP! use easy debian and you're done.

i think it's just don't completely fit my needs. though it might because i don't know how to operate ansela the right way :p

all i ask is simply a tool to resize image, resize canvas (gimp's term), crop, and manipulate the image color (HSV, convert between RGB/CMYK/grayscale, etc)

thanks anyway for your answer ;)

Hey mate , I'm not sure If you know but there Is already a Image Editor on the N900 as default in the Image drop down menu that can do most of em.

See attachments . :)

I've actually been trying to compile GIMP for Maemo directly (none of this in-EasyDebian crap. Chroots are nice, but I don't want to go through one just to run GIMP); it loads a tad slow but runs fine, more or less - however it also definitely isn't usable currently because doing anything aside from using the brush on the drawing area (including using key shortcuts to select other brushes/tools) breaks input into the image area - it also breaks input into some other apps, like inside the web browser (MicroB - address bar input works fine, the stuff inside the browser itself though, doesn't register clicks). Way out of my skill to fix, though if I fixed that I would eventually try to hildonize the UI.

In the meantime, I don't really think there is an app that does exactly what you want.

thanks but as i said earlier, its functionality is too limited
try resizing a picture if you don't get what i mean. you're only limited to resize picture in percentage (have to calculate manually if you wish to resize to, say n x n pixels) and cannot ignore aspect ratio

would wait for this
but since the gimp ui itself is too crowded with buttons and other things, you have to make it more small-screen-friendly. or else you'd end up just like how gimp running in easy debian then :)
but still, can't wait if you successfully port this apps natively to maemo, and with hildonized ui

not sure if this fits your needs but for simple image resize and other things that don't need a fancy UI I often use Image MagicK from the command line in easydebian. If easydebian isn't your thing then you might want to try ImagemagicK or GraphicsMagicK for fremantle

I like this idea very much!

Have you considered compilling an older version of the gimp? Somthing like 1.5? I remember running v1.5 on my HP jornada 680, it was a 133MHz, 32MB ram machine. It ran quite well.
