Re: internet radio

I too am looking for a way to get my local radio station streams on my 770. I go to http://radiotime.com/advancedsearch.aspx and found what i wanted and when i copy and paste the location into windows media player on my pc it works fine but when i copy it to my 770 it tells me file type not supported. Exactly wich file types are supported? And is there anyway to trick my 770 into playing those live streams from http://radiotime.com/advancedsearch.aspx ?
Thanks.

I am a newbie to the 770 and have been getting lots of good info here. Thanks everyone.

I read this thread with interest and downloaded a couple of playlists. I then put them on the memory card and had no problem streaming the internet stations, very cool.

How do I get them to show up in the applet on the home page?

Re: internet radio

Running winamp on my desktop, I saved the playlist onto my mem card, then put the mem card into the 770 opened it with the player.

While I am at it, does Canola actually give additional functionality or is it just a pretty gui?

My question may have gotten lost in the thread, can anyone tell me how to add a station that I can successfully stream to the applet on the home page?

Click link.
Media player starts playing station.
Hold down on stream in MP. Opens menu.
Select add to library.

Thank-you! I will try it. I hope folks will be patient with the new crop of newbies....what may seem obvious to you can be quite evasive to us. Your help is much appreciated!
