I have no issues connecting to the repos from the UK. In the past the following has helped.

Try changing the dns servers for the connection you are using to connect to the internet to the Google ones of 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Go to
Settings > Internet connections > Connections > %Your connection% > Edit > Next > Next > Next > Advanced > IP Addresses

Uncheck Auto-retrieve DNS
and enter 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
and see if that works.

Its something to do with Access List that block the IP not DNS.

Edit: Actually I just tried one of the mirrors and get unknown host errors, so it's probably no good.

in the uk getting the same issue tried the help above changed to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but still not working any one fixed this yet ?
