[Question] MicroB 'open link in new window' without switching to it?

I like to open lots of links and then go through them, this means currently i have to keep switching back to the index page each time i open one. Is there a way to make the default that it opens in a window in the background?

Im guessing its a no but theres no harm in a little hope ;)

I don't have an answer, but i totally agree!

Opening without switching would be much better for the way i use Micro B

Its a NO i'm afraid. Nokia were asked many times about this trough bug reports, requests etc but they didn't provide a solution and since MicroB is closed source no one else can.

I remember reading that the feature was implemented internally but didn't get included in PR1.3. In the bug report/feature request, it is said that though microb is closed, the codes involved are microb-eal (or something like that) and they are available on maemo.org.

People, nuances matter: It's not MicroB is closed source - the MicroB UI is closed source. The underlying web rendering engine is straight from Firefox, and so much of the inner workings are perfectly open source.

This *could* be doable from hildon-desktop/hildon-home but I doubt it'll ever work properly.

I am officially bursting your bubble of having this fixed.

Depends on who's bubble. My bubble depends on someone recoding the closed parts of MicroB for the CSSU... someday.
