At first I was not convinced to change the post icon, but after trying to think outside the box, maybe the icon *might* gain a litle clarity.
I am everything but a graphic designer or a specialist, but an icon like the following would be nice too, isn't it ? Or does it have to be a square icon (16x16,32x32) ?

What about adding horizontal (or a bit inclined) dim white line so that it would also look a bit like "f" as well as "s".

nice idea, but if you scale that tot the maximum height of 16 pixels it's not readable anymore ... that's where my idea of the 'N900'-text came from ...

i'd prefer an image to text tbh but with the scaling it would make it difficult to tell what it is. the best image so far was the top icon from K9999 in my opinion

Great app but still needs some tweaks:

- can add "add new vanue" on places
- can enable add photos on chekins
- enable messaging
- enable chat
- work on photos section (it's a bit slow)

Add the shortcut to your desktop as normal. It is called "facebook", not "sociality".

Any chance of a UI change? The app is great, love the speed and features, but I think Kasvopus looks much nicer with the white background, looks like an official FB app.

changing this icon here will change all facebook icon on your phone later on....not quite a good step is you want to change sociality icon only cause the whole facebook icon will change aswell....

People say here that they miss the white background. I must say that I like the black background. Maybe some other colors are not harmonized with the background, but I like to have a dark theme instead of lighter ones, which damage your eyes in the end.

Anyway, the feature I miss most is the "More" button. Well, being absolutely sincere I also miss the possibility to use it offline. But that isn't as necessary as the "More" button, in my opinion.

Keep up the good work MAG, and do whatever you like, of course.

Yes, i'm sure that viewing a small facebook app with a light background a few times a day will lead to all sorts of eye trouble - much more likely than staring at a black 3.5inch screen for most of the day :rolleyes:

If nothing else, FB apps generally look very nice and are easy to view outdoors. Sociality is very good, but besides the main menu it's pretty cluttered and looks almost like MS DOS in presentation. That's a general appearance thing beyond the background colour, but certainly, it contributes.

I got to agree. The app is amazing, only thing that I like less is the appearance. The best is getting one good color pallet and be using that for the whole application. Stick to it and lighter colors, black text over white is easier to read then vice versa.

I agree love the app so much but hate the colours and stuff. Hopefully that gets fixed as its the best fb app we have and will ever have.

Any chance you could make Messages come up like the bubble themes from conversations?

It would look alot better :)

Also is there any plans to change the way walls are displayed because the black background and current view is kinda confusing :P

You mean mock ups?
Why not just stick to default blue-ish/white Facebook theme/UI layout?
I bet someone put quite some effort in designing it, so it can´t be that bad, right :p?
Apps on other platforms as well as Kasvopus also follow this design and we see how popular it is by the repeated requests here in this thread..
I think it would be great for Maemo if there where a Facebook App that actually looks like a Facebook App ;-)

Just post if you need help on some specific graphics work and we will see if the community can help making the app look decent and Facebook-like:cool:

Or what would you prefer? A completely own design/layout/color scheme?

Kasvopus's dev might not know C++ (that's the whole point of QML, if you're a web developer you can use it to create apps without learning Python or C++)

Is there any way to stop Farmville//cityville/onthefarm/restaurantcity posts appearing in the news feed. They do not appear in the browser but both sociality and kasvopus show them. Any idea why?

when i check-in.. i can tag only one person...
it gives me the option to tag as many ppl as i want, however, when i click done, it either only tags one person, or.. non at all...

if you just scroll through your friendlist to tag people you can tag as many as you want but if you search for people via keyboard just the last one you clicked is marked.i think it's a bug which could be fixed in later versions.

beautiful app, looks very clean. While viewing photos, you have to go back to album view and click on another picture to view it. Swiping needs to be added to photo view for going to next or previous picture. Seems pretty solid so far

Places stopped working for me ... worked well a week ago ... now i do get a gps lock, but there are no entrys shown when i tap "check in"
also no more check-ins of friends are shown ...

has this something to do with the launch of the new m.facebook.com.site? touch.facebook.com now redirects me to this crappy new mobile site and i can't check in there either (can access Places page, where it says "share with your friend where you are" but there's no button to check-in anymore ... this worked fine with Firefox mobile 4 until now :mad:)

oh ... i also couldn't get news feed or anything else ...

Failed to fetch news feed (or places or profile info or album list)

logged out and logged in again - fixed! Thanks! :)
