Who cares if they produce boots, boats, and toilet paper afterwards (I hope it will be quality stuff). |

Re: RUMOR: Microsoft buying Nokia
I'm praying this happens and that Windows Phone 7 Nokias come out in a sleek form.
But then out-of-nowhere, LG/OEM picks up MeeGo and makes a better high-end phone then Microkia, possibly porting Dalvik to it. And then we all upgrade our N900 and send Nokia "i told you so" emails. :D |
Re: Eldarmurtazin: "MS want to buy Nokia Mobile division"
eldar is just gunning for attention. this will never happen. it was considered and shelved. that's why MS then decided to work with Nokia (in the announcement that caused hell on the net a couple of months ago).

The only think we can do is speculate, whenever they decide to disclose a bit of information. Examples: - 10 September 2010, Nokia appoints Microsoft executive as new head - 1. November 2010, Ari Jaaksi, leaving Nokia - 11 February 2011, Open Letter from CEO Stephen Elop, Nokia and CEO Steve Ballmer, Microsoft - 27 April 2011, Nokia announces next steps in transformation - 16 May 2011, Nokia kills off Ovi mobile brand This usually happens when they have to do it, simple because it is the time for next move to be made. If you retrace the steps (at least the steps we had a chance to be aware of) they made since last year, you will see where this line leads. The fact that many people don't like Eldar, nor share his opinion, does not make his "prediction" less probable. http://conversations.nokia.com/tag/microsoft/ |

Re: Eldarmurtazin: "MS want to buy Nokia Mobile division"
an update at engadget:
Update: As Reonhato pointed out in comments, Mark Squires, UK Communications Director for Nokia, has already issued an uncharacteristically pointed non-comment. "We typically don't comment on rumors. But we have to say that Eldar's rumors are getting obviously less accurate with every passing moment." Lets hope that he says the truth... |
