Re: Breaking News!

seems like they increased screen sensitivity, at the expense of the thumbpress.

you can roll your finger a little when you press to make it recognise the thumbpress better.

I edited my previous post to say all that I'm able at this time.

And to Benny: I actually included the "non typical user" caveat more than once.

That is just not true. ALL nokia phones with bluetooth that I have ever tried support DUN (including the newer phones like E60 and N95 ), I think it is just Windows mobile phones with the problem.

Would it be possible to keep a special location to this extraordinary funny thread (new firmware out - joke only) all day long sustained by the exhausted N800 fans, end users and developers? something like a "best of"?

seems a bit early to be talking about subsequent updates as seb did re battery life!

Texrat, I don't understand why, now the thing is finally avaialble, you can't speak about the changes that are there that you know of? what restraints are there now? future hardware releases?

I for one who love to know, because at the moment it doesn't live up to the hype (even if it was only on this board). And the loss of vid calls via nokia internet call seems a real shame with no replacement, as does the lack of bluetooth headsets.

Yes VERY early, I agree. But if Nokia improves so early, we can expect good achivement when the new updates are here. It s a good sign.

Future software releases are the restraint. Sorry.

I'm thinking from this point on I just won't say anything. Overall that seems best.

I just hope that developers do find something of benefit, and that I was not misinformed...
