you can simply remove it from HAM or FAM or apt-get purge speedpatch but there is an unconfirmed problem caused by moving from normal deb into repository deb which leaves a file in /etc/event.d/speedpatch.dpkg.old that file is needed to be removed manually @ed_boner why people doesn't forget about that old profile or where are you downloading it from anyway ? i personnaly don't have it any more :p there are profiles installed by batterypatch which replaces the old custom-karam profile speedpatch is very sensitive i don't face that problem except a battery drain or a not proper shutdown (with any way) there are some apps i doubt in causing an unproper shut down (but it makes you feel it's normal shutdown) maybe custom boot video loader (not sure) but i will try to find another way to get speedpatch to work with out any of these problems but do you confirm that this fix: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...postcount=2425 doesn't work ? @All i have updated batterypatch changes : fixed a problem in prerm script which might cause problems during uninstall and increased the MAX freq to 805 mhz because it's safe with vdd1=0 and it will not take much extra power than 750 also it will increase the performance a bit |

hi karam, well that fix didnt help, speedpatch behaviour remained the same for me...
as for batterypatch...can you help me? how should i choose a profile? just experimenting with all in the kernel-power-settings file, and seeing how it feels? are all of them made for dual behaviour active/inactive? Tks. |

Karam i tried the xterm error fix and still same issue but now the number keeps changing so everytime i open xterm the error has dofferent number at the end of the error line!
Is there a way to remove all of the old and new speed and battery patch from the system so we can start from new so this problem wouldnt happen if thats whats causing the problem! By the way im still getting random switch-offs no idea whats causing my n900 to switch off by itself! |

i got to update my batterypatch in this new patch but my battery drain 70% in 1 hour of browsing.. is this normal or i got to change the profile??

mines the same except power v48+a scud battery and i'm getting some really good results since i re-installed yesterday afternoon since 17.30 last night when it came off charge i am down to 79% only been texting and updates though. :)
i've also changed overclock max to 600 as i found a reflash and the latest cssu improves it a great deal 24 hoursish later 76%. light use (text messages) |

hey karam im having this problem. like when my phone is idle, and i get a text, i open it but it shows contact name and a black screen with no conversations. it comes after a while. i sometimes have to manually close it then open it 3, 4 times. this happened once when i was using ammyts dynamic cpu patch but then i removed and was using ur patch. this problem started happening again when i installed the latest update of ur battery patch today. can u please tell me what settings i should change to avoid this conversations lag black screen? if not then how do i change back to the previous version of battery patch?

i have the problem with the latest batterypatch, i properly installed the patch, checked the kernel-config being used is ok. but when i enter this code in xterm:
sudo gainroot echo 1000 >> /proc/sys/vm/vfs_cache_pressure (lock then unlock) cat /proc/sys/vm/vfs_cache_pressure to check if the patch is being applied, it shows me 1000, which means it is not being applied? i uninstalled and reinstalled the patch, but the problem still exist. |

because this is not happening with me and if you guys are having problems use the full removal script from 1st post and then reinstall the patches ----that should solve anything and if it didn't then your problem is caused by something else |

I uninstalled the old versions of speedpatch using remove all file from first page then reinstalled latest speedpatch foe few days it was all fine but after a reboot i got the errorr back again! The whole phone also slows down like as if the patch isnt installed qtlockscreen slows down to when the error is showing in xterminal but after a reboot when the error disappears the phone is quicker smoother and qtlockscreen is faster too! please help! |

I ahve the same problem with coversations as reported by others. The conversations get black and I can't see the messages. I've tried to reinstall the patch but it doesn't work. With the older verions it worked ok. I didn't install anytching else.
