no alfred i've taken the max down to 600 from 805 as i've just reflashed and added cssu and power v48. Suprised myself as i'm usually use an overclocked profile but found my device is smooth and reactive without so far.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

Hey all

I applied the speedpatch + batterypatch, I'm running latest CSSU with power kernel 42 and I have to say, I love this, especially with how it handles CPU frequencies, before the frequency would jump straight to 900 (or whatever I had it set to), but now it gradually increases as it's needed :)

haven't had chance to fully test the battery patch, but it's looking good

Also, I haven't experienced the conversations issue.

Thanks!

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

no convo problem here and i haven't updated to the latest batterypatch

down to 4% charge so it's lasted 4 days on the one charge :)

12/12/2011
now using v49 not overclocked no patches and cssu testing and still managed 4 days with same usage and same scud battery??

haven't got much on it but everything i need so far.
with battery patch i changed the overclock profile from 805 to 600 as i found i don't need to O.C. as yet, previously i had it set to 750 but device acts great with the reflash and cssu.(eefo told me how well his was running that finally persueded me to reflash)
and that's all i have done with it, nothing special and some steady usage .

my battery alert has just started :D
ignore the big purple blocks glitch in the batterygraph image, that was when it was turned off

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

@corduroysack

it seems that you dont use qtlockscreen and I am badly in need of a scud battery.
If you could post the batterygraph screenshot in FaceBook I would click on "like" button thousand times

my configuration is like:
kernel power v49
karam's batterypatch -- my own custom voltage profile for underclock(250-600) and overclock(250-750)
smartreflex vdd1=0 (=1 not stable)
smartreflex vdd2=1
karam's speedpatch
brightness = 2
i rarely use gprs or wifi
turned off my GPS & network location
portrait hildon desktop
modest from cssu
widgets list:
few contacts, conversation, few apps shortcuts, media player, calender, battery
i use my device for call, sms, email, twimgo, Fmobi, Opera mobile,
with this my N900 lasts for (no ones gonna believe) less than 20hrs
yeah that sucks
but still I love my N900 and I am very happy with it
nothing is comparable with this ultimate device

I'm not using _any_ patch and run into conversation issues myself fro time to time. So just get over it.

sorry i'm not on facebook anymore i'm on google+ :)
when i used qtscreenlock i noticed it constantly in 'top' so i got rid of it but that was before i reflashed. i really liked it but with it showing in top it's got to have an effect on battery life. just like smscon i liked that as well but same again.

i'm with you on the n900 it is the best device i have had and before i reflashed i was getting about the same, this time i'm being more picky on what i install (hopefully) and waiting to see if it has had an effect on my battery life before installing anything else. :D

Is anyone else here having issues with the phone app taking too long to show when a call comes or it's probably not related to these?

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

i don't know why there are so many negative polls... but honestly this worked for me... i really made my n900 faster... i can seriously feel the less lag on my screen... Thanks man.... Why didn't i do this before.... (Only Speed Patch) didn't use other's

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

the batterypatch and speedpatch works fine for me but i dont know the risk of being default to overclocked.. i like this default because it makes my phone very responsive..

zurrain101 2011-10-14 08:43

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

karam i can confirm now that the conversation problem is due to battery patch as when i removed the ptch, it was fine but then reinstalled and problem came back. 3,4 others are facing the same prob

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

i had the conversations problem also but it cleard up after adding 1 to all the voltages i had set im using a little over starving and get great results but without the patch my phone is stable on lower volts which is confuesing

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

Hi Karam,
Speedpatch is powerful, thank's a lot. Do you have the original batterypatch, still? The newer ones have made my N900 unstable in continuous usage. The last one, for one reason or other, shortened battery life. I'd love to install back the original batterypatch that simply changed vfs_cache_pressure on standby.

karam 2011-10-15 11:50

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

well as i see the conversation problem must not be caused by batterypatch
because the last change i did was only fixing a process stop script
and none of the processes are related to conversation

i personally had this problem before
but after i cleaned the whole database i didn't have that problem again

and don_falcone said he's having the problem from time to time
and he is not using batterypatch

my best guess is that the problem caused by CSSU update

try this

@karam

please fix and update process stop script (cpu_sleep) of "Battery Patch For Non KP Users"

from
Code:

/usr/bin/pkill -CONT $process
to
Code:

/usr/bin/pkill -STOP $process

not its not that problem. its like when im idle for a long time and if any msg comes then i can only see contact name and black screen. msg takes 5 mins to show. i had this problem with ammyts patch as well. im telling u when i remove your patch, the prob goes away. when i installed it back it came back. atleast tell me how do i revert to previous version of the patch?can u post here the deb file?

karam 2011-10-15 18:36

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

@zurrain101

then :
Code:

sudo gainroot
leafpad /opt/dbus-scripts/cpu_sleep

and search for work STOP
change it to CONT

and save

tell me what if that problem is gone
although i'm not having that problem my self

yes! i thought i'm the only one who noticed this.
when i am checking if the batterypatch is properly installed, using the scripts on the first page, with the old patch, it shows me 100, but now with the new patch, its 1000.

karam i can say that the black screen problem is gone but i have read the thread and noticed that people are getting the database problems. i used to get them like every month. this might sound crazy but after the update of battery patch i get it every day and clean it every day and same again. i ignored it first but after reading the posts i thought im getting these every day why? after the battery patch update only. IT would be really helpful for me and some others if please u could only post the previous deb file. it WAS DEFINETLY THE BEST FOR ME. i know ur not getting the error but different n900s have different reactions. karam ican 100percent guarantee that these problems came from the update of the patch. i would reallyt really appreciate if u could tell me how to revert to the previous patch. thanks again for ur continious and good work.
peace :)

@karam

After reflash mine N900 and installing multiboot i can get speedpatch to work. everytime i got the error in xterm. changed started on hildon-desktop but also that didn't solve the problem. Also no old speedpatch file is in the events;d folder.
Is it a know problem with multiboot? i run out of ideas

thx

which version of batterypatch works well on your device?
mine works well with the batterypatch with script, not the .deb file.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

the previous version works the best. 1.98 i think. the one that is newest causes these problems. the previous version was the best for my n900

try this (if I remember correctly):
Code:

apt-get install batterypatch=1.9-8
Maybe you'll have to add --force or -f as option.
