which file? cpu_sleep or cpu_normal? If cpu_sleep, did you mean changing from STOP to CONT?

Execute
Code:

sudo mkdir /usr/share/doc/liblzma1
sudo dpkg --configure -a

to correct this.

I can also confirm the message issue since updating to the latest version of battery patch. OptimizeN900 fixes it temporarily and changing STOP to CONT in CPU_Sleep stops the issue altogether.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

checking batterypatch using the script on first page gives me a result of 1000. it means patch is not applied?
i tried to install the old patch with batterypatch.tar.gz
but i still gives me the result of 1000. it only happens after i update with the patch 1.9-9.
anyone could help?

ricardo8 and any other people having problems
use the full removal script and then reboot then reinstall batterypatch/speedpatch

I fixed the conversation black screen problem by removing the browserd from the STOP process list in the cpu_sleep script.

Does anyone of you that understand how these patches do what they do see any reason why i'm having a hardtime answering calls, or why somtimes the audio during a call gets mangled kinda like i don't have enough bars but it seems what actually happens is the phone gets unresponsive ?

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

Removed Speedpatch a few days ago.

MY experience was that it didnt really speed it up and there were stability issues.

I know that wont be everyones experience, but everyones device is different, running different combinations of other software.

I've gone back to untweaked (aside from Kernel / Clock Speed) and the device is back to being fast and reliable.

If it works for you keep it, if it doesnt remove it.

hi, since my reflash and latest updates, my n900 is really fast and responsive and the battery is great...even the xterm error has gone away for good, but i was noticing something similar with the described by TiagoTiago...really unstable gsm coverage shown in the bars, moving constantly up and down in places where other phones are completly stable and showing awsome gsm reception, and trouble recieving calls with quality...as my system was recently reflashed, i only thought my SIM was old or messed up...you think it is related with the patches???

ricardo8 2011-10-19 17:34

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

reverted back to the old patch using a script, not a .deb file. works well on my device.

Uninstall and reboot and test.

If its better then I'd think its the patch partly to blame.

i followed various instruction found in this post but it still didnt help.

thanks. i will only as a last resort. its such tedious work putting the programs back and I just reflashed a few weeks ago.

i have just tried the fix of changing to start on hildon desktop so i will see if that works first.

i think you should try to reflash and if if the problem wasn't solved then i guess it is a hardware problem

type this command first. remember to activate internet

sudo gainroot
apt-get install kernel-power-settings

then type the command mentioned earlier. you must have power kernel installed

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

NEW UPDATE

hello everyone

i have been doing some tests about the conversation crash problem
i wasn't having the problem and still not but many people said that they are having it and it's confirmed that it's caused by pausing browserd process
the main point of the pausing process script is to pause browserd because it takes a may take A lot of cpu while sleep (not confirmed yet)
so after doing these tests i found out that the pausing process script doesn't have a lot of impact of improving the battery life

so i released a new update that removes it

sophocha 2011-10-23 09:22

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

it still reverts back to 500-805! ive changed the min and max settings under power-kernel/overclock to 500-1000 and it still does it whenever i lock and unlock the phone.....weird
