Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
well i don't recommend going to the testing version (yet)
it has a LOT of untested scripts now but today or tomorrow i will update it and will add a function that removes lags when recieving a call :) (answer , reject buttons will be smoother to press) my bro noticed this recently |

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
Hi karam thanks for your hardwork mate but lately i have noticing my n900 slowing down alot when using few different interent windows open and multitasking! My processor always runs at 600mhz whixh wasnt the case before even when a single internet window is open cpu runs at 600mhz all the time and slows the phone down and i struggle scrolling down the page etc. Im using latest speedpatch and latest non-kp batterypatch

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
After updating batterypatch to 3.2 I experienced quite annoying display problems: various animations didn't finish (like switching desktops, closing applications or opening the application menu).
I think the new settings somehow break the transitions I'm using. Anyone else with similar problems? For now I downgraded to a (for me) working version. |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
hmm thanks for reporting
i have noticed the lag with the latest batterypatch-testing and i wil fix that soon as soon as i find the best up/down threshold values that doean't cause lag and gives extra battery life but for the latest stable batterypatch i can't seem to find any problem hat causes breaks transitions as algiz reported would you please tell me what is the stale version with you ? (algiz) so i can analyze and see where is the problem ? |

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
After updating batterypatch from 2.7 to 3.2 i noticed (in QCPufreq) that my min CPU-freq sets from 250 to 500. I also updated speedpatch to latest release.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
i have just updated batterypatch and batterypatch-testing
please confirm that batterypatch is stable now PS: the lags caused by the previous update are fixed after i removed the up/down threshold modification i'm now trying to play with ohmd configs to remove all the conflicts with speedpatch (in order to get more speed) hopefully will get to something new and sorry for your loss trisha02 but perhaps you should've tried to reboot after uninstalling and before reflashing ;) |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
which is the best to install? the new batterypatch or the new batterypatch-testing?
|
Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
the current batterypatch and batterypatch-testing are the same
but of course if you want more stable one then use batterypatch because their will be unstable updates for batterypatch-testing |

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
I just tried to update my batterypatch,
ran "apt-get install batterypatch" but it says I already have the "newest version"... Also my battery icon doesn't seem to representative of what is shown in batterygraph... Im at about 72% in batery graph but the icon shows Im close to 100% only one sliver away... which one should I trust? |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
try apt-get update first
and the icon doesn't always shows the correct value |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
how do I run the update on batterypatch? if I type
"apt-get update batterypatch" I get an error "the update command takes no arguments" Sorry for the dumb question. |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
Code:
sudo gainroot |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
I have the problems that I can not play any videos, even the videos I recorded by N900 if I update any newer version than 2.0. So how do I fix this?

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
hi karam
i'm using now CPU Power Control it's contain your Battery-patch and I don't now what is the version of your patch in that package I can't see this patch in HAM in remove list .. and i can't download it .. it's tells me your patch already found in Power Control script . can you help me . |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
well well you can't use batterypatch and Cpu power controle together
only 1 of them the differences : Cpu power controle : is a power controle -_- you configure your profile and try pre configured profiles and other configurable settings and there are some of batterypatch features in it ex : vfs trick and cpu_sleep (if) script batterypatch : aims to give the batterylife to N900 compatible with HD recording and can easily controle max/min freq (by editing /usr/share/kernel-power/overclock)and no need to use many profiles ... and it solves some issues ex: solves the lag sometimes caused when recieving call by setting minfreq to 720 when a call is recieved and have more configs in dbus-scripts-settings ex: if you locked your phone while the keyboard is opened and then closed and left the keyboard right away then after couple a sec N900 will send a dbus-signal ( as the system is not active) and will activate cpu_sleep .. this feature is not included in cpu power controle although might not explained enough about cpu power controle because i haven't tried it (only saw what it contains) INSHORT : you cannot fully compare batterypatch and cpu power controle because they are different from each other |

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
Hi Karam, thank for your reply.
I updated the battery patch to the newest version but still have the same problem. I uninstalled and rollback to ver2.0 and don't have any problem about video playing but sometime some videos loading longer than usual. So do I need to reflash? I have the latest CSSU and kernel V49 installed. |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
this is strange ..
can you please drop the version you use in here so i can analyze the problem ? as i remember the problem was caused by renice of qtlockscreen and it has fixed earlier |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
Hi Karam,
I have reflashed my phone, and i have just installed the lastest CSSU & battery patch & speed patch. But when I played 2 sample videos with media player: the first time is ok, the second time it stop while playing, and the third times it said that "unable to play...Media...not support". So I uninstall the battery patch and reboot again, and my phone have reboot looped. I have to reflash once again. The last time i use this version (in the attach), and I think it's the best choose for my phone. |

To stop this, you need to manually adjust those profiles or to edit the scripts to use a custom profile of your own. The dbus scripts are found in /opt/dbus-scripts. you need to edit cpu_normal and cpu_sleep and change "Kernel-config load overclock/underclock" to your custom profile. The profiles are located in /usr.share.kernel-power-settings. You can manually add your new/extra clock setting in there if you know what you're doing. |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
@Kenny.Vo
i got it now seems your problem is not with battetypatch it self it's with smartreflex :) some N900 cannot play videos smoothly while having vdd1 enabled and please remove the attachment now ;) lol i see some download rate you can install the latest batteypatch and edit /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/overclock and change vdd1 to 0 and the reboot loop happened because that old version (2.1) is not fully compatible with KPv49 (it has some problems with prerm script) |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900
where to edit /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/overclock can u tell me in detail
