Re: [ANNOUNCE] Plug map :: yosmapa :: ver 0.20-1
extras-devel doesn't get promoted by voting. Maintainer can promote package to testing, when she/he consider it ready for it. Then, to unlock possibility of promoting to extras, package must get karma of 10 and set time (7 or 14 days, i don't remember) must pass. Then, maintainer can promote package to extras, but this is NOT obligatory.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Plug map :: yosmapa :: ver 0.20-1
just installed new update, having a problem with the zoom in zoom out icons they're no way near as good as when they were at the right hand side. i keep minimizing it or opening a window, when i want to zoom out otherwise it's brilliant :)

Your situation - I THINK, I'm not sure - is probably slightly different because there are already versions of libosmgpsmap and python-osmgpsmap in Extras-Testing, and/or it's just a matter of time. If you look at the "Status:" field for the two packages you linked to, at the time of this writing they are labeled "Package Promoted". I think this means that when you promoted yosmapa they did get promoted with it, but for some reason the maemo repositories server glitched and hasn't uploaded them yet. Happens sometimes. If it doesn't import in another couple of hours to extras-testing, you can try version-bumping yosmapa and/or the dependencies and re-uploading, as that has helped me get builds of the aircrack-ng package "unstuck" before. That said, I'm not 100% sure if this is the only issue, but you have taken care of the dependency fields in yosmapa correctly so far, and promoted yosmapa, so I can't think of any other reason for it not working yet, at least out of the issues I've encountered with the repositories thus far. |

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Plug map :: yosmapa :: ver 0.22-1
Hi,
the idea is really great, anyone can write an application (actually a plugin) without having to rewrite everything from scratch. Very good. Plenty of potential possibilities, I like it and I would use it. Here is some feedback to ver.0.22-1: 1/ installation - the problem of dependent libs still persits. I had to go to devel to have easy install which resulted in upgrade of other non-necessary pkgs. 2/ maps. Where are they stored? I have huge amount of osm tiles and I dont want to reload everything again. Normaly I would expect the tiles at ~/MyDocs/.maps/OpenStreetMap I, however they seem to occupy /opt or /home/user? Do they? And - is there a switch to block loading them? 3/ zoom: I dont understand how everybody here is able to read so small maps - myself I frequently use n900 navigation in a car and I absolutely MUST have a zoom factor 2x . Thanks for sharing it. |
