Nitdroid: EMMC or Class 10 Microsd?

Hello all,
Should I install Nitdroid to my EMMC or buy a class 10 microSD. Does one perform better than the other, and what would happen if I was to boot the n900 without the microSD inside?

Also are there any other Pro's that one has over the other?

Emmc should be faster than a class 10 microsd card.

Not according to meego tests.

This is very interesting. Have you got any references? And, has anyone tried those UHS sdhc cards?

nitdroid running from emmc is very fast for me, but I only tried it with a class 6 card (and it was really slow)

Meego wiki.

Those benchmarks only covered read and write speeds. Those do not translate to OS and application startup performance and runtime performance.

Compare these results: sakoman.com/OMAP/microsd-card-perfomance-test-results.html

Here we have Patriot Class 10 booting in 6177 seconds, and Sandisk Class 2 booting in 1803 seconds!

I wonder how fast the TOPRAM 16GB Class 10 MicroSDHC card is, if the class 4 card is that fast :/

Probably same speed as the other class 10 cards.

SD Card Speeds are measured using large block transfers. So a 10 Speed card can do a minimum of 10MB/Sec write using large files. However, most brands have bad small block transfers. Sandisk has the fastest of all brands for this despite being a class 4 or something and is good for OS usage.
