Request: Wireless Sync on N900
My USB is broken, this may be a newbie question, but is there someway to make a wireless connection that can transfer data like the USB port did? I was hoping the incredibly talented people on this site could come up with a "cutetube-esqe - (aka QT GUI)" app that could sync the n900 with a PC. It would make the pain of loosing the USB port that much less.
Any thoughts? |

Why not use bluetooth to sync with ovi suite? or explorer. you can browse all file and copy as you like.

search for mount wizard, it will allows you to mount external folder on n900 and then you can copy your stuff wireless to the external folder. I have used it with nfs shared folder on my linux box. with windows you will have to use samba. make sure you give read/write permission so that it can be copied without issues.

Re: Request: Wireless Sync on N900
Thank you everyone for the posts, and suggestions.
I may have confused some with what I was asking. PC suite or mass storage mode (option) comes up when you plug in your USB device, is it possible to get to that point wirelessly? Could you simulate that with software? |
Re: Request: Wireless Sync on N900
That's only included so it knows what to umount and not to write to and stuff whilst your computer is also writing to it. It's all still there without doing this. Unless you have a reason for wanting it?
