Re: N9 [Shipping]: It's finally here [for some]!
What bothers me the most regarding the Nokia 800, is that if I finally get the N9, people could think I'm using a Windows Phone.
I'd be really ashamed. |
Re: N9 [Shipping]: It's finally here [for some]!
the b@st@rds just listed the 800 and 710 as upcoming devices on Nokia India site. Final nail in the coffin for my hopes to get a manufacturer warranty supported N9 locally. :mad:

Also nice to see those media keys on lock screen. Was it included in the PR1.1 for N950? http://cdn.conversations.nokia.com.s...10/whiten9.jpg http://cdn.conversations.nokia.com.s...0/whiten92.jpg |

FedEx has 3 minutes to deliver my N9 or they'll be late.
:D |

Yeah, the glossy white looks too good. R.I.P. cyan.

I had not seen this:
http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/26/n...e-of-the-tape/ You are right, there's more than enough hardware difference to make up for the price difference. BTW, I will buy my N9 as soon as it arrives in Brasil. It's going to cost me about 700 EUR for the 16 Gb one, but I got traumatized when my N900 died and Nokia Brasil wouldn't even touch it because I had bought it in the US. |

@tissot;
Yes, PR1.1 for the N950 added music controls to the lock screen. |
Re: N9 [Shipping]: It's finally here [for some]!
Finally. :) I have been using a glossy white prototype, and IMO it is the most elegant of all. One would think that it is simple to bring out a device in white, but it is not... So I am glad that we will be able to buy it after all.

N9 64GB now in my hand!
Ordered from Negri on Mon evening, left HK Tuesday morning, with me Wednesday morning. Not bad at all. No customs fee or brokerage nonsense either (no idea why, but I'm not complaining). Now I need to get SIM chopped. Also need to flash the device once a generic image is available, because it says 'StarHub' everywhere (a Singapore network - I assume this device was supposed to end up in Singapore). First impressions: so freakin' shiny. Capactive screen: weird, but not bad. VKBD: surprisingly easy, given I've never used one before for more than a few minutes and have been avoiding them for years. |
