A teaser from my thread on QtDevDays:

* Development opportunities:
- Desktop: yes, clearly in the focus
- Mobile: "You will see something coming... This is all Nokia is ready to say now!" (Seems clearly to indicate some big announcement by tomorrow at the Nokia World event!!)

That something I think is Meltemi... ppl in the know said it's coming soon. Not sure if it's product or just info announcement though.

Was just checking WP Mango features in detail and I realised that you cant export contacts from the phone to the sim.
To all the N9 owners, pls tell me we can do that on the N9.:confused:

No. I get a "not allowed" error on AT&T, same as everyone else.

Can someone with a N9 on Tmobile's "grandfather" $10 EDGE plan tell me that you are getting 3G signals and able to use wifi hotspot?

If you travel a lot, or order devices from various locations around the globe - THIS bundle of magic is a true life-saver (there is US-centric version, too, with a flat outer side)

Thanks Shallimus. I'm definitely approaching this cautiously. I now see the same contact details on other websites so it looks like a scam...

It's a scam, the guy presented himself (or that he talks in behalf of) Richard Watson, import manager of Cancom UK, who is in fact a store manager and B2B representative of Cancom UK, Edinburgh. Of course, he has a completely different email address than presented in that post...

Pushing me towards Android in the lack of any other even remotely open platform will make him my arch-enemy. For now, I just despise him for selling out Macromedia and pushing the iOS WP7 clone into Nokia. If I am forced to move to Android, I'll really start hating him from the bottom of my stone heart...

How appropriate that Lumia means whore in Spanish.

No, not really. It is a colloquial term for a prostitute in a relatively small part of Latin America, 99% of people that speak Spanish (castellano) don't have any knowledge of that.

Lucky you if those are the things that made you decide to put it in `no thanks` category...

Here's, for once, quite nice review of N9 without the gloom and doom of "you should not buy it because it's dead" talk:

The official Nokia Brasil facebook page has stated that the PR 1.1 will be available when they release the N9 around here. It is scheduled to be released in Brazil on November 18th.
