for me, no sd card support is ok as long as i will get enough space for my mkv videos... and the 64gb version should have enough space... but yes, its bad because internal flash is always more expensive then buying a class10 sd card...

and regarding flash... i dont know what it means in pratice but the media player seems to support flash movies, so it could be possible that the media player could take over a flash movie...

and i am sure that many sites are using less flash since the iphone came out... so apple did some prework for us ;)

for me there's alot of betting sites that use flash. would be a pain not to be able to make last minute bets when i'm out and receive a tip. still not a deal breaker.

i'm up 300 on it so far. trick is not to bet on on the odds but what initially planned e.g a team to win, instead of 5 teams to win to get better odds.

i wouldn't bet on anything in the mobile industry though, too unpredictable. i would say it looks like microsoft is making a bad move with windows 8, dumping .net and silverlight, wpf etc for html 5. think of all those people who've spent time and money learning it just to be discarded.

Hmm. I must admit, the first excitement over the N9 has started to pass. It will arrive in September here, but I have started to get second thoughts. It is sexy and all, but rumours say Nokia will price it at the high end. I don't have any problems affording it, but I never purchase anything for more than my perceived value of the item is.

Objectively speaking, the value of the N9 is almost nothing when compared with the N900 (MeeGo is dead for Nokia, lack of HW keyboard and lack of OSS refinement). My perceived value is much more than zero, but in no way near that of a premium Android. Not that I want an Android, but the value of a twin core 4+ inch super amoled and millions of apps is afterall something substantial that cannot be ignored.

Besides, the Sea Ray is coming only a month, max two months after the N9. It has virtually identical looks, same sexiness, presumably/hopefully a U8500 dual core, and will most certainly be priced LOWER than the N9.

So I really don't know. Maybe I will consider the N900 the last one and let Maemo die in piece. I got my N800 as well, but it is ageing fast. It was fun when it lasted.

Eflop has really and truly killed Maemo/Mego or? As I see it, it was the previous dudes who killed Maemo/MeeGo and almost killed Nokia as well. Mr Elop will save Nokia, but at the cost of MeeGo and Symbian (my favorite OS since primeval times). Strange, I like Maemo, but simply can't get worked up any enthusiasm for MeeGo,

I got my N900 and my Samsung Wave, both are cool and will last until the Sea Ray comes (and many more years). But the E6 looks damned tempting :D

What? Elop save Nokia? Where have you been lately? The nokia stock and sales have tanked massively after elopocalypse! WP7 is an even bigger fail than the six versions before that. At this rate I'm not sure Nokia will survive Elop. But I don't think he will stay that long at Nokia, the board might wake up very soon and give him the boot.

as i've been following the n9 threads for quite a while now before and after announcement you haven't shown much excitement since first showing it. mostly you've been negative.

i'm wondering how the clever apps like swapping between 3g/gsm/dual and flashlight etc will be handled. will there be the ability to have them in the status bar/menu like before.

Towards brainless hail MeeGo, kill Eflop creatures maybe, but as far as I can see I am among the very few here with a positive attitude towards Nokia and the hard change and sacrifices they are going through, even the N9. Must of you are just whining because MeeGo is dead.

If you can get past WP7's messy tile screen and app list, then I say why not wait for the WP7 phone? WP7 already has many good apps and you can sleep a good sleep not worrying about non-support from NOK.

But sorry it's not for me, I never tried it in person, but my head aches everytime I see the tiles fighting with each other for my attention... IMO it's a better design concept on tablet/PC due to screen size.

This price is completely made up by company who posted it for pre-order. It has no reflection on the actual price other than it wont be more than that.

My guess is £499 pre-order, £450 once it hits the shelves.

I have never really tried WP, only messed with it a couple of times, so I'm not too sure I will like it. Now if only the E7 would have a proper screen, a proper battery and a proper camera, I would be fine. The E6, not a perfect form factor, but good enough.

Pre 3 is hardly it's competitor. Pre 3 isn't pretty much sold anywhere other than USA and UK, both markets that might not even get N9, but Nokia's Windows Phones first.
Palm, now HP is known by nobody on the strong Nokia countries.

We are talking about Nokia and they don't sell their high ends cheap.

The camera on the N9 looks really nice and well thought out. The fact that it has non-destructive photo editing is sweet. Now, if someone can just hack in RAW support. :-)

I'm not sure where he's coming from. I've admittedly been increasingly negative on the N9 and Nokia and ericsson is the one providing some amount of balance back toward the (in my view, meritless) optimistic spectrum. I think it's funny that ericsson is being called the negative one. :P I AM NEGATRON DAN! Remember?? Look at any of my comments where ericsson has replied. Negative and unenthusiastic toward the N9? I do not think so. Credit where it'd due--even if I disagree with it. :)

Come on guys with all the meego devices that are going to be on the market you think they won't make flash for meego? Even an adobe employee already came on here and said they will be bringing it to meego (don't remember which thread it was).
So we now have the fm issue and flash issue as coming later.
Now if we can just get hdmi out through the usb I might forgive the no keyboard and sd card slot and non removable battery.

If that's the only tv-out it's pretty lame...
Considering the device can capture in 720p but can't output in 720p!*

There's a slim chance MHL is implemented via mUSB, hence enabling HDMI signalling & 720p-out.

It's unlikely as it's not explicitly mentioned anywhere...
But i hope-to-god it's just a few step away from do-able, with the right driver/fw etc.

*then again this may be the case, simply because the SoC can't handle true (not rescaled) 720p output?

He he, charging my (both ancient) N800 and my 6233 as I'm writing this. They have boosted the 3g connection around here, so it is spotless, rock solid and full strength now, I have to test how it works, and test Opera on TMO. I'm confident it will work flawlessly, but never know before I try. :D
