This is great work.....now all we need is the new kernel with better sgx drivers and the Helium browser and there would be no reason to want Meego DE!

hmmmmmmm , that's the thing .
but you know nothing is impossible :p
so we should knock our head abit and find some solution for this .

I haven't installed Hildon desktop portrait mode yet, but I think I could design a 3200 x 3200 image, in such a way as the main design will stay roughly in the middle of the screen when desktop rotates, or have a cross like loop to both directions.

I am saying 3200 x 3200 because I assume there are 4 portrait desktops as well right?

its not 3200 x 3200 but it should be 1920 x 800 = 480 x 800 for each portrait desktop wallpaper....

Just had to say that this portrait desktop/app menu/ task switcher package is kind of rocking my world.

It's like having a new phone!!

I hate it to be honest as it makes me want to keep my N900 even longer, just when I was thinking about getting a new phone again!!!

The wonderful developers on here make me think that getting a N9 might be worth the gamble even if Elop is not prepared to allow Nokia to fully support it.
