It is still recoverable, albeit a bit difficult. It took me a quick sleight of hand trying to connect to my home's Wifi with the phone and SSH'ing into it to rectify the problem (by issuing a false value to the command he gave). I managed :P

What that command did was make the Hildon desktop fail to start after a reboot... which leaves me with widgets scattered everywhere, no wallpapers (just a black background) - basically it just killed Hildon's window management, I suppose.

Hi can someone please help me even though i have latest cssu 16.8 and latest transition.ini with blacklist and whitelist and calender is added to blacklist it still rotates to portrait! i can stop calender to stop rotationg!
how do i stop this?

i just changed my transitions.ini (/usr/share/hildon-desktop/) like this:
blacklist = Calendar mediaplayer

and it works even without reboot, mediaplayer and calendar are not rotating anymore. did you use the capital letter C for the calendar entry? i guess this have to be the same name the process list is showing.
