dunna

yesterday (was it?) when i posted it, all my URLs were with the internettablettalk.com domain :o

maybe that... http://www.internettablettalk.com/20...ng-maemo-talk/ ?

then again, this is a year and 11 min old...
maybe a glitch with the TMO domain?
is TMO in fact hosted @ ITT and TMO URL is simply badged over it?

I still go to internettablettalk.com first to see what's updated in the threads here. In fact, my bookmark is still internettablettalk.com/forums which directs me to talk.maemo.org - I'm definitely a creature of habit.

hello?

and it's a different site, even though kept very tightly in sync
(i had increased the size of the fonts on TMO, which shows correctly on the 2nd link whereas the 1st link shows default font size   )

actually it's NOT kept in sync
the posts show up on both sites @ the SAME time

Both domain names point to the same server.

thank you
suspected that, but glad to hear it from an authoritative source.
if TMO is still (also?) part of ITT, how comes the "better" moderation rules don't apply (anymore?)

Trying to get people to pull together in this forum is somewhat of an impossible task thanks to trolls and people who just want the arguments.

Abill I'm replying to your post in the Council_Update thread here to avoid the continued derailing of that thread .

I really do feel the way forward is via the council of this community and as many have already said i will only repeat by saying again that they need to make contact with Nokia and see what the latest situation is regarding any hope of release for the Maemo code soo much wanted here.

As for my contribution i will make every effort to to post pics of a more suitable usb fix than anyone has ever posted before on here but that is not on topic with this thread.

The main reason i never got involved with testing cssu was the battery problem and untill bme is solved in a proper way it is pointless to install.

The other problem is the overwriting of important emmc structure making it near on impossible for the noob to re-flash.

I am not a linux coder and never will be now but i know these guys are working very hard indeed when they were active and i fully support in words any further progress on cssu in any way or form as long as it is a forward movement and not one that creates even more problems elsewhere on the os.

Sorry to be off topic a little please resume.

CSSU has provided fixes for a variety of issues. Not installing it until 'bme is solved' is like not fixing the leaking tap until you insulation in the loft; both need doing, but one is easier to fix than the other.

The bit about 'overwriting of important emmc structure' is complete claptrap. Stop typing and read up about what you are discussing. There is no issue whatsoever with reflashing a device once the CSSU has been applied.

So your FUD contradicts the next statement you made because you harm the CSSU effort when you spread ill-informed bs. The last line is also FUD..
