lovely
then again, maybe Reggie will be able to get a new web server paid by NOKIA? :D

Hope wouldn't be needed; this would be nothing more than a blip for the servers. Maybe you should just trust in the dynamic page generation professionals, because I warn you, if I have to whip out my credentials, you could get hurt.

trust?
trust is good, control is better
i take it, QC isn't high on your list, is it?

whip me?
you may want to skip the appetizers and get right away to the molten iron ¦-))))))

This is the part where I would click your name and you would never be heard from again. Pretty cool, huh?

sure thing
as i said, self convinced developer who doesn't care to go thru test and acceptance...
you still haven't explained what exactly your wonder click would do, but i'll skip the small talk.
what you are thinking of, in whatever form, requires multiple joins on the "ignore list" table. trust me, from a performance point of view, no matter how good your "page writing skills" are, on any relational DB this is literally a killer feature.

well, let's look @ the sunny side.
when your plug-in comes, TMO will melt down & never be heard of again.
might eventually get somewhere :D

This circular conversation accomplishes exactly what again? I need a clue.

I think there's some sort of underground competition to get on as many ignore lists as possible.

is it so difficult to follow a discussion.
if nothing else, just click on the {username} => links & look @ what you get...
if ppl were doing this a little bit more often, we wouldn't have so much misunderstanding all the time.

but i'll be a good prince...

daperl offered to write a new feature for the forum software
among fan-mail, i asked for a specific example of what his/her code would do based on a concrete situation on that very thread @ that very moment...
never got an answer to that, btw...
so after some back and forth where daperl was getting less and less specific and more and more hurt, i eventually posted my doubts about the possible performance impact of whatever s/he had in mind

any question left?
true, the whole discussion is use less
why didn't you ask your rhetorical question among all the "fan mail"?
even Texrat joined in for that...

happy?
btw, when you (moderators) look @ a thread, your IDs don't show on the list but you still add up to the number of ppl viewing as members.
maybe a real bug daperl could help fix?
