One thing... communicate better.

I see a whole lot of talk, even points within points. What I don't see besides fancy rhetoric is anything conducive of a solution.

If you want to expound ad nauseum your stance, then state just that and be done with it. That's where it's not making sense to me.

Mind you. I'm an ongoing pain in the moderators collective *** here - 4 years and going. I make a point or two, then proceed to be about as pessimistic as one can get. But at least I own up to my part in all of that... sardonic wit + curiosity + devil's advocate. I be that. 100%.

But you... the meandering stances, statements... it's almost whimsical in how I can't figure out what your stance is sometimes - like now. And yes... I've been reading this entire thread. So if anything, my question is honest. What is your point?

Feel free to treat me as stupid as you think that I am... so very small, easily digested words will make my day that much better.

But right now, all I see is rank antagonizing. You're better than that. C'mon dawg... </Randy Jackson>

That's my point. Your posts would improve when you decided you longer wanted to just talk to abill_uk and cod3rror. You would get yourself a new handle and you would stop using your old one. This would help with the scalability of the pruning algorithm.

Which question? There's quite a few out there.

my posts are fine, thanks.
it's too easy to tweak the environment so that your software can cope with it.
that's not the way your are really programming, pls (?)

that's a standard / functionality test.
then comes the acceptance test, where the code has to cope with a clone of the production environment.
unless your code gets thru that, it doesn't go anywhere, sorry :(

PS: who is cod3rror?

i could give you the link again, but you can get off your couch & do something too.
there are two, indeed even though they amount to one.

and, in case you can't get up from the sofa anymore, just look @ this page.
maybe you'll guess what i'm getting @
(which i already hinted at a few pages ago, but i'm sure you discarded that, right?)

@misterc

From the garble of your last post, it seems like you decided to just cut and run. Too bad, because it almost looked like you had something to contribute. Maybe next time.
