Do you have Filebox or similar installed on your N900, only then will you be able to edit the Qtlockscreen.ini file. If not, do so and report back, help is out there!

hey i installed the android lockscreen from the repos its very nice. can someone please tell me how to use it only as landscape? how to lock it as landscape please please i dont want it potrait. what do i edit please tell thanks

BS. Just use xterm together with vim / leafpad. I guess you will find the path to the qtlockscreen.ini file, if not, check the wiki for QtLockscreen.

The theme must have a landscape background for this to work:
Edit the .ini file in /opt/qtlockscreen corresponding to the theme. Find the line beginning with 'Orientation', change from 'portrait' or 'auto' to 'landscape'. Then as user restart qtlockscreen

This isn't necessary on my system (the configuration utiltity should pkill the lockscreen and restart it), do you still need to manually kill it with the latest QtLockscreenconfig update?

no laith, i have no clue how to upload it as .deb and have been busy as well. why dont u or someone else go ahead and put both harmattan concept and absolut lockscreens in .deb format on my behalf. thx

Hey everyone!

I came up with another album art centered lockscreen.

It's white and it's minimal and I hope you like it :D

1. next and previous are on the right and left sides of album art and appear when tapped

2. the slider is a hole that moves to the right and unlocks when you see the unlocked padlock icon

1. Put the cyan on white folder and cyan on white.ini in /opt/qtlockscreen

2. Put the font in /opt/usr/share/fonts

If you have sakya's Qtlockscreen configurator you will be able to preview it before applying ;)

Hello again :D

Got into darker grey-blackish iphone like mood And came up with a new lockscreen with big clock font big album art and big glowy battery :cool:

1. Put the gray shades folder and grey shades.ini in /opt/qtlockscreen

2. Put the font in /opt/usr/share/fonts

3. play and pause is the album art

4. Enjoy! ;)

I just had an idea... Would anyone be interested in a pixel-inspired theme?
I had the idea from the Freddie Mercury tribute made by Google.
But I have a problem about scaling. When I resize images in GIMP, they get softened, ruining all the pixel art. If I don't make it at a low level, it gets messed up and nasty.
Does anyone know how to scale a picture without blurring in GIMP?

Ok, fixed that problem. Just turned interpolation off.
So, I managed to make this mockup. Yes, I call it a mockup... I made it while being real dizzy, and in addition to not being some skilled artist, this turned out to the point where it's only just okay.

There's an extra font in there called pixelated.
I'm also sorry for the color distortion on one of the bars.

Do you by any chance have the component parts of the background? I like to to move things around a bit, so that the slider is in the upper half. Easier on my thumb that way.

hmmm.... I think I have merged them to one layer :( I will check tommorow because it's in my office pc... I may have the separate jpgs saved somewhere

i am trying to create a lockscreen suited to my quirky needs but i have a (probably) stupid question.

with sizeL="370;300" what do the numbers mean?
i cant find an answer anywhere. i thought it might mean horizontal and vertical size, but if i change the values on existing lockscreens, it doesnt seem to behave like that.
and in posL the numbers are x;y, correct?

i am writing this and testing the lockscreen ini on my n900, so forgive mispelings and lack of dexterity to find answer to my question. :-) thanks
