If he won't send request for upload rights and request for maintainership, You won't have option to add him. Just saying ;)

Re: [wip] folder explorer widget

this should contain the files you need for uploading.
There are minor changes in this version. Give me a sign when you downloaded, so I can remove this

So, on my way to upload it so lets see whats happens :)

Re: [wip] folder explorer widget

Problem! deskypplet is linked to yellownotes bugtracker and i cant write a description for deskypplet...
Estel, do you know how this can happen?

electroaudio 2011-08-30 12:14

Re: [wip] folder explorer widget

@Sethkha, there is a lot of information present in the .dsc and .changes files that is related to yellownotes. i guess it is best to remove that stuff from within scratchbox. But if not, maybe i can do it from M$-windows but i am not sure that it will work...

Ps, I will need to install scratchbox someday i think, will scratchbox work in the debian version of linux mint?

strange, I thought I removed everything yellownotes related. will have a look.
I am using scratchbox in ubuntu, so it will work

Re: [wip] folder explorer widget

I'll remove the bugtracker line, then let's try again.
I'll add the package to this post.

sethkha 2011-08-30 12:34

Re: [wip] folder explorer widget

these things should be done in the /debian/control file in the source (i think). If it's not enough removing it, how should we add this to bugtracker?

sethkha 2011-08-30 12:44

Re: [wip] folder explorer widget

removed bugtracker line and added short description in the control file

electroaudio 2011-08-30 19:28

Re: [wip] folder explorer widget

On its way to the autobuilder again.

@Estel, i guess this is your domain of knowledge: Will it not autocreate a bugtracker if no one exist??

So, i guess i will use some free time someday to install Mint then ;)

sethkha 2011-08-30 19:43

Re: [wip] folder explorer widget

or maybe that?

Re: [wip] folder explorer widget

As the new versions number changed, everyone who installed it from this thread and likes to get updates for deskypplet should remove it and reinstall from extras-devel

Sorry, I've been away for a while. Unfortunately, I have no idea about linking to bugtracker - ho ever (pure guesswork, looking @ other packages), it seems to me that it should *not* auto-create anything, cause there are still package that doesn't have bugtracker at all. I also think it may be worth to create bugtracker for this little package :)

// Edit

electroaudio - at this point, You got much more experience with autobuilder than I have - cause you've already "did it" with some package, instead of - like me - just "transmitting" info between knowledgeable ones and "newbies" + reading documentation ;)

Ho ever, if You got any problems, I would be glad to do my best trying to help.

Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

I guess we have to hurry adding the conf directory to the upload to make it more fool-proof, or things like this could happen more often.

A good laugh anyway

Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

Erm, adding "missing content" to -devel package is also planned, yes? I'm sure it can be done - look @ packages, that provide own icons or stuff.

If not by package itself, it may be downloaded via postinstall scripts, but I think it's too ugly approach ;) (url for downloading additional content may be brocken later, while repos stil lworking = broken package in repos)

Configscripts could als be created in the postinstall script with simple echo commands. If somebody could tell the equivalent to msdos IF NOT EXIST (filename) i could write those very fast ;)

Re: [Announce] Deskypplet

It may be also good idea to check how "respected" packages - relying on custom content - solve this.

Estel, can you find some info on this? I have a lot of work to do so i will "dissapear" over the weekend.

Or if somebody else has any info on how to add this to be included in the autobuilder?

Aye, I'll ask around about it.

the config files are ready. Just the icons are missing! They should be put into /usr/share/icons/deskypplet.

Why not in opt? Let's put everything we can into opt - I know it's not much space taken from rotfs, but let's not waste, if we don't have to.

Not yet, still investigating. It's still (although at it's end ;) ) vacation season, you know. If all else fail, I'll ask in development section of this forum.
