Keep receiving e-mail notifications of old/deleted e-mails with Nokia Messaging
 

I recently had to re-flash my N900. Everything seems fine except that when I enable Nokia Messaging, I keep getting notifications about mail that I have either deleted, read or downloaded onto my PC's e-mail client. Some of the notifications are from weeks ago.

I have deleted the Messaging accounts and re-enabled them and shortly thereafter a stream of notifications will come in. I have had up to 650 notifications. I had to turn off incoming notifications, but that is inconvenient as I receive e-mail from other accounts.

If anyone has any insight on this, any information or help you can provide is extremely appreciated.

well it appears that nokia messaging still sucks, id suggest just manually configuring your mail

I gave up trying to get Nokia Messaging to work. I was receiving so many phantom notifications, the n900 was almost unusable. I just created the accounts directly on my device.

I once had such a problem. I was getting notification of message and an e-mail like every 10 secs and it disappears. I tried reboot/reset the device, restore a backup.. nothing helped. Only a full re-flash worked !!
