Found a video documentary of Microsoft's blunder, perceived from Nokia's point of view:

Yes, but it is super-extra-special 1%. Consists mostly of pretty women and men who smell good.

nokia is screwed.
those are shipment numbers, sale to consumers are even worse lol those 120m million bettter do it job. but i predict poor sales. |
Re: Canalys: Android has almost half of global smartphone market, Microsoft has one percent
I wouldn't count on android on a long run. for example htc:s margins are starting to look worrying (even before all the patent fights have been fought)
http://www.mzcan.com/taiwan/2498/eve...s%20Review.pdf amount of handsets sold goes up (page 5) and margins down(page 8) at least for now it looks like the future of the android will be written by the chinese who can say f*ck you to western patents and licensing.... |
Re: Canalys: Android has almost half of global smartphone market, Microsoft has one percent
What's the margin for Samsung, then? Android is a platform with looooots of manufacturers--the biggest of them right now being Samsung. What's Nokia's?

No need to talk about margins right now. Patent fees will be implemented retroactively. http://fosspatents.blogspot.com/2011...ign-up-as.html Why do you think all the major manufacturers are still into wp7 Mango? |

how can u patent a experience? at this rate apple will patent "feeling" happy while using the phone. by this basis nokia can sue nokia n900 tablets because its a black rectangle too. even nokia been making them even before ipad/iphone announcement. like samsung http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_f700-1849.php http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i700-441.php http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i710-pictures-1916.php |
