As for WASH, it was mentioned, that it's not working. up to date, no one cared to fix it for our system :)

Since they implement in Cleven, reaver, they are the best persons to ask. Or i assume, they are. I really don't know why are you so grumpy. Not all of us have the knowledge like you about linux so we ask stupid questions.

I rather mean, that even your screenshot show using reaver from terminal, which doesn't have anything to do with Cleven.

BTW, using forum "Search" or google for "reaver" and finding thread with "reaver" in title, instead of "Cleven", doesn't require special knowledge about linux.

also, don't take offense - it was rather meritocratic post, about Your question belonging to other thread ;)

Since the name is very unreliable and can accept any type of character I have avoided using it. In reaver the AP name is optional.

Wash works fine for me. What versions are you using and how do you switch to the bleeding edge drivers?

Guys ive got Cleven installed and working but i cannot get the reaver+wash1.4 working i cant see the wps feature at all? i had a friend help me install the files i needed reaver+wash1.4 zip extracted it opened cleven but its not there. Havent used N900 for a long time so ive forgotten most things if anyone can help me out that be great.

I use Wlan Driver Selector Applet to load the bleeding edge drivers. Wash is 1.4
Try to load manual with bash load.sh but still same error in wash.
I see that i have a different version. How do i upgrade to your version, but still keeping v49 ?

Hi q6600,

I cannot help you much since I don't have the same configuration neither the Wlan Driver Selector Applet to test it. I think, you better ask/check to that thread, that the applet was updated to have the latest drivers. If that is the case, the KP49 will not work for you.

This is something we have been discussing with freemangordon earlier and how to support previous versions of KP. Unfortunately, I cannot see a way to do this without including all versions of the driver binaries. Therefore, cleven versions 3.x provide support only for KP50.

If you need to stay with KP49 you will need to install manually version 2.5-2 from extras-testing. This comes with the drivers for all versions and you can use its interface to enable/disable them. Maybe not as easy as the applet.

Your version of the pcap is from the SDK repo! Do you have this enabled?
If yes then disable it and run

As I said, I'm not sure all those will work so take extra care and be prepared in the worst case to reflash,

apt-get install -reinstall libpcap0.8 didn't work but
apt-get install libpcap0.8 work and now wash is working just fine from xterm, had the fcs error but fix it with --ignore-fcs
Now cleven reports corect after a scan the wps networks ( in the past i had just packet after scan ). Loading driver from cleven or from wlan apt selector will work.

I tested today Cleven with kp50 on my second n900 and all is fine.

Now that freemangordon has compiled a kp50 offshoot named kernel-cssu (the thumb2 thread on TMO elaborates on this), Cleven searches for the compat-wireless files in /opt/lib/modules/2.6.28.10-cssu1/ instead of ...power50, where kernel-cssu still keeps the files. The obvious solution works.

Saturn, I think Cleven should mention if it completely fails to find and load compat-wireless when the user prompts to load them using the button in question. Now, it just makes it seem like it actually loaded them (button turns red) and the only thing hinting about something going wrong is the fact that the MAC address bar goes blank.

P.S. Saturn, could you implement a toggle to remove the "this kernel is perhaps incompatible with Cleven" yellow banner completely at the user's discretion?

Sure I could put a couple more checks. I didn't think that it is really need though. When you install it you install the drivers at that location too. So they are available.. Anyway the lines of code to make this check is less than my comment :)

How did you install cleven and did you get any errors?
The linux-backports-modules-power package should be picked up and install them to the correct place. Where did it put the driver files?

Saturn, sorry that I wasn't clear. I guess what happened is this:

I had first installed KP50, Cleven and the backports-modules-power, so the backports went to /opt/lib/modules/2.6.28.10-power50/ back then.

Afterwards, I installed kernel-cssu and while the backports-modules stayed at /opt/lib/modules/2.6.28.10-power50/, Cleven now searched for them in /opt/lib/modules/2.6.28.10-cssu1/ even though that directory doesn't exist.

Release of cleven 3.2-1 in extras-devel

This version (should be available in few minutes) depends on freemangordon's package of the bleeding edge drivers. Since those depend on the kernel-power package, installing cleven will most probably upgrade your kernel to the latest in the repository you have enabled.

To casual users: Please allow people with more experience to test it first before you upgrade. I have not tested it with all possible combinations and the major changes might break your system. Recommended is to use the version in stable repository or if you feel adventurous the testing repository.

Changes:

NEW: Additions in the load.sh script for checking the new driver files existence before unloading the default ones.
NEW: Addition of a check to skip the startup kernel check (and thus avoid error message for those with custom working setups).
NEW: Addition of a check to skip the autodiscovery of kernel version (and set it manually).
NEW: Added freemangordon in the about/thanks section of the application.

INSTRUCTIONS:

To override the autodiscovery of the drivers location and use the default, create an empty file in /home/user/.cleven/skipKernelCheck

I just flashed my phone and now faced with this issue cleven just doesnt create monitor mode i am using latest version .

I can create it manually of course just not in the app its self , althou none of my load files creates mon0 anymore i have no idea whats going on .

I have reinstalled clenen so many times now still same issue and yep i do have new wifi drivers .

unable to crack wpa security

hello everyone.
firstly cleven is awesome.
i was successful in cracking wep. but i dont know how to crack wpa security networks.
i was able to collect data into .cap files. but when i goto decrypt option n select .cap file it asks for dictionary. !!!
what to do? plz help me.

i read all the pages abt wpa cracking. i learnt that i need to wait for 4 way hand shake signals. actively or passively. nw im running xterminal and capturing is going on. at the top right hand side it says fixed channel.
but on aircrack tutorial website said it must show handshake signal successful.
also how can i take a screen shot of xterminal in n900 to post it here.

As for your fixed channel issue i have never noticed that on n900 but it does happen a lot on backtrack for desktops , i aint sure if that patch would apply to your phone ,i could be wrong thou /.

Dude, just zoom out using volume buttons and you' will see the all screen. Then tap Deauthenticate on cleven and, if you have been near from AP, and if there are someone connected with AP (like i can see on your 2nd screenshot) you will see the handshake notification at the right upper corner. If you can't get a handshake using deauthenticate button, just try a more especific command on terminal, just like you've read.

Edit: language error... just one of all them... :(

Hi, i managed to install PKv50, and i have downloaded the latest Cleven 3.2.1, and when i run the program all is fine, i can load the injection drivers with no errors and enable monitor mode, but it seems that when i am injecting nothing is happening

Tried to do an injection test with loaded drivers :

Trying brodcast probe requests
No answer..

Doesent the latest Cleven use the drivers compatible with v50?

After you have loaded up cleven and loaded the drives open terminal and do this .

No, it didnt i did an injection test as described in my post.

I have tried the iwconfig command, after seting injection drivers and enabeling monitor mode in cleven :

wlan0 IEEE 802.11bg Mode: Monitor

But i dont see any mon0 interfaces.

Did i missed any step? I have purchased a stock phone, installed power kernel from App manager, and installed Cleven from app manger also. Thats it.

That is the same version I have (ie. latest). I have working injection, but I do not use Cleven. For obvious reason (check my sig :p) I am using fAircrack (latest unreleased development version 50). Sorry for the shameless plug :D.

More importantly though is: Which KP version are you currently running? Check this by typing
