goes to terminal
waited till 5000
nothing happened...

checked wep
scan
no network found...

why so?my own home network...normally all devices ask my router's wpa password.....

EDIT- any help please... beacons- 35000....still going on...

Seriously man, why did you buy n900 if you don't want to learn basic things..or at least read it??

You can collect 900 000 beacons, you will NOT crack wpa password

You must have gotten the 2.5-2 version.
In any case start it from the x-term and post any errors you see.

Seems like it doesn't manage to load the drivers correctly.

Could you follow the following steps:

1. open the application manager
2. uninstall cleven
3. close the application manager.
4. open the application manager
5. install cleven
6. open log - copy/paste here.

looks like the entry in the sudoers did not happen.

In the application manager, clicking on the top should give you a menu.
One of the options is the log.

the apt-get method is better, but i didnt propose it since it needs you to become root. If you prefer that let me know to give you some instructions.

PS: it is difficult for me to test as I don't have your kernel version. If there is no real reason for staying to the old version, then you should upgrade to the latest supported kernel.

About kp, I was waiting till it goes to extras-testing to not enable extras-devel... anyway if testing is difficult I'll wait new kp and install new Cleven version.

Nowhere, until you modify command manually, to make it store resulting PIN somewhere.

Despite what it was assumed, retrieved WPA(2) passphrase isn't stored in database file :(

I have Cleven installed in my N900 and it was supported by karnel power v51r1. Now im using KP v52 the injection drivers are not supported by karnel. Help.

Did you really test the injection ? i think that pop-up is just cosmetic. try that on terminal after load the drivers:

It's not cosmetic. A have try that allredy in x-term and afer i load the drivers device got extremly hot after 5 min and it suckup battery power to 0.% and shutdown.

I can't confirm that. i've just test and injection works flawlessly when the drivers are loaded by cleven. Just shows those annoying pop-ups but neither overheating nor other abnormal behavior.

Heating was coused by demaged battery. I got new one and injection works. It's really cosmetic popup. THX MAN :-)

just go to /home/user/.cleven/capturedData/WPA and find the .cap file that you want.

hello, i love cleven a lot, but everytime i crack a wep key, the connection reads "limited access" and will not be able to use the internet until i replug my router, is there a fix for this?

Cleven is much better and it's easy for use.
With Cleven you can crack WPS pin (WPA/WPA2) but you can't do it with faircrack. Faircrack crack's WEP.

After a bit of playing around with cleven, I can't change state of injection driver and can't disable monitor mode any more

i have the same problem - but the reply to uname -r is 2.6.28.10-power52

I was happily using cleven-experimental (although i couldnt get the wlan config buttons to work, so i booted cleven(original) simultaneously and used it to turn on monitor mode and load injection drivers

i left the capture window open (aircrack i think?) and i opened reaver, and it was working fine until i got to 90.9%, and then reaver crashed, i reopened, it then got stuck on one number, i tried not resuming, but that resulted in one attempt and then crash

i tried deleting everything, then i tried uninstalling cleven and cleven experimental and reinstalling

i now am left with cleven showing me 3 buttons (load drivers, enable monitor mode, *RED* disable monitor mode) And a blank box for mac address

Cleven Experimental shows two buttons, but when i "load injection drivers" the numbers in MAC Address go blank. this also results in showing 3 buttons *red* Unload injection drivers, enable monitor mode, *red*disable monitor mode


***NOTE both programs show the warning - incompatible kernel message, however this has not stopped them working before.

tried running xterm $cleven, which boots cleven, then locks the screen, i switch back to xterm and its asking for a password... and ive guessed wrong 3 times.

Just for the record - Cleven "experimental" is some ancient version, check package date before installing. I know that naming is confusing, thought this package separation wasn't good idea, from very beginning.

i like the version of reaver(on experimental), it shows more detail than clever, and gives an option not to resume (although that crashed the experimental)

so i cant get either version working.... help?

behavior of reaver is determine in cleven-helper script, you may google for reaver manual, then adjust script to your liking. Cleven is "just" a front-end for it, clevenlyrly written (most functions are separated from compilable UI bits, so are adjustable by user, without need for recompiling).

Thanks, good to know i can change reaver,


more importantly why can i not get the injection drivers loaded, or the monitor mode enabled anymore? it worked perfectly a few days ago before it crashed.. now nothing!
